If you recieve a message from 1-866-644-0438, it is Conemaugh Medical Center.  The message just says to call them back, but won't say who they are or why they are calling.  I couldn't find any information, and called the number back, and it was verifiably CMC.  As always, don't give credit card/bank information out over the phone. Note: they didn't even ask for it, just resent the bill. (26 OCT 2007)

1-866-644-0438 does not actually ring into Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, which is in Johnstown, PA.  Rather, this is for the billing service (last advised they were out of Pittsburgh, PA) to which Conemaugh outsources its billing.  Conemaugh does have in-house Patient Accounting personnel. You can be reach them by calling the hospital's main number at 814-534-9000.

This number calls 5-6 times a day .always come up unavailable. WELL NEWS FLASH ..ANY NUMBER THAT COMES UP UNAVAILABLE OR UNKNOWN..I DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE!!! Also they never leave any messages. That's why I have an answer machine. If it is Connemaugh hospital. Why they calling me . I don't n never did associate with this hospital. So knock off the calling... Guess  it don't mean jack s**t that I'm on the do not call list.

This numbers calls me everyday and I have no idea who it is

It's regarding a bill that isn't even due yet!!!! i pay all my copays.  i get bloodwork every year and pay the freaking thing. Give people a chance to send the freaking thing.  Idiots!!!!

They've called three times in a week. Never left a message. I've zero affiliation with this medical center, I'm not even close to it, or its affiliates.
I've had this number 17 years, unless someone gave it out as their own to avoid a bill, I don't know why they'd call me. I'm wary of it.
