866-670-1467 called me...left no message.

Left a VM it's the call back number for Anthem Blue Cross preventative heath stuff....

Call came from 800-405-1806, caller ID showed: "Blue Cross Blue".  The message stated: "Please return this important call to 866-670-1467" and "If you do not want any more calls, please call 866-670-1467 to be removed from the list".

THIS IS AN OBVIOUS TELEMARKETING CALL.  Apparently it is from some "add on" company and not the real Blue Cross Blue Shield trying to sell additional insurance.  DO NOT CALL THEM BACK -- calls to toll free numbers can not block your caller id and you will just be giving them your name -- and NEVER PROVIDE ANY INFORMATION TO CALLERS.  If it's legitimate YOU call the company at a number YOU know is valid.

Just received a call from Shameeka calling for Anthem Blue Cross of California to let Joanne Schifini know about the expanded phone services available for consultation with Nurse practitioners etc.  Why are you having someone call me when I have exactly 27 days left of service from BCBS?  This makes no sense.  Univ. of Calif. has been dropped as Anthem Blue Cross has left California.   Beginning January 1, 2014, Univ. of Calif. is with UC Care.  I have no idea what this all means, but my deductibles was $250 per year with BCBS.    Now it is $1500 with Blue Shield, UC Care Tier 2.  The monthly premium went up $9 per month.   I would like to know how I can use Tier 1 of UC Care.  Tier 2 is Blue Shield.  What all this means Shameeka could not explain.   She also could not tell if a colonoscopy is covered and at what level either under BCBS before December 31, 2013  or Blue Shield beginning January 12, 2014.    

Got a VM today from a representative saying that they would like to speak with me about some preventative services available to me from Blue Cross. When I was insured with another medical insurance, I started getting similar, and annoying repeat calls, about an "available service from nurses who could give me preventative service information." At that time, I told them that I wasn't interested but they continued to call me, ignoring my statements that I would not discuss my personal medical history and background with them as they started launching into asking personal, actually confidential, questions.
I believe that the insurance companies are hiring an ancillary company that claims to be "name of your medical insurance company" and the effort is to get you to discuss your medical history and current conditions so that they can persuade you to practice preventative medicine as opposed to medical intervention in which the insurance company must make payments.
This is an unnecessary intervention and an invasion of privacy.

Received a call supposedly from BCBS about services. They left a voicemail with a return number 866 670-1467. When I called bak the first thing they asked for in order to identify why they called me was my phone number. When I refused to give my number I was told that since they couldn't prove that I really was the person they called they refused to generally explain the services they called about!
Obvious scam! First , BCBS has never called me before and always uses my ID number or verification NOT my phone number!

received a call from 866 670 1467 to provide me with assistance as it relates to my health care.  they did not identify themselves but said to call back to prevent repeated calls - give me a break!

I received a call from 18004051806 and asked me for my birthday supposed  to make sure that i am the right  person, to explain me the benefits of heath nutrition  that my  health insurance has available for me...When i asked to have someone speak in  my native language she just put me in hold for about 5-8 minutes end then hung me the phone but i have that calls every day. when I don"t answer the phone they lived this # 866 6701467 to call them back and its always a machine that  recorder your answers...... My English is not good i hope you understand my writing... by the way I AM SICK OF THIS KIND OF CALLS!!!

It IS actually anthem blue cross. They called me once and left a message. I google search the number and get scared since people said is a scam. So I called anthem's number from the back on my card, and said someone from this number called me.  She put me on hold to give this number a call. After a few minutes, she said there's nothing wrong with my account. They just calling to make sure that I've seen a doctor in regular basis.

These clowns left a voice mail for a family member who has not lived here for over ten years. Call them to sign up for more Blue Cross ~ Blue Shield "services" [***] telemarketers.

Received a message from a person claiming to represent Anthem, asking for me by name. Requested a call back to discuss preventative care options.

Meanwhile, Anthem has been not been paying claims for needed care - but now wants me to engage in "preventative care".

"Michelle Dominick," purporting to be from "Blue Cross/Blue Shield," left a message for me, but she trailed off when speaking my last name, as she either could not read my full name, or was not going to take the time to pronounce it properly. 1-866-670-1467.  She is there from M-F 7:30 am to 4:10, Central Time, and she has information about something or other.  Does not sound too bright, and when I called back from an untraceable number late at night, I got a recorded message that that purported to be the switchboard for something generic along the lines of "Health Care Services," or "Medical Services."  Their stated business hours are different from what Ms. Dominick left in her message for me.

My health care program is NOT called Blue Cross/Blue Shield.

Obviously, this is a scam.  This is what caller id and answering machines are for.  Do not engage them, and they will stop calling after a while.  I would lodge a complaint with the authorities, if I knew whose jurisdiction this is.

These folks have very low intelligence, and no understanding of human psychology.

Stop calling them, or else call them and speak only in your language, and speak about a topic like mathematics or geology.  It will drive them crazy, and they may actually stop calling you.

It is really from BCBS. They want to offer their services for preventive health care programs such as meal planning for diabetics, diet plans, exercise plans, etc. It's a service that BCBS offers if you have their insurance. I have taken advantage of some of them and they can be helpful. They do come off as pretty pushy at first when they keep trying to get in touch with you. Once you talk to them and either opt out or work on a plan, it's actually a pretty nice service. We may as well get whatever we can out of our insurance, since we're paying for it!

866-670-1467 left a message on my machine, which I returned the next day.  They mumbled a company name, then would not repeat it for me because they "represent your health services provider" and the name can vary from state to state.  Said it would probably be Anthem Blue Cross or some other.  Wanted personal information starting with my phone number, full name and date of birth or they can't "pull up your file."  Local police said to ask my real provider about this but if that is Anthem I will hit a wall of limited menu choices.  Obvious identity theft and/or fraud scam.  Will probably contact the State Attorney General office about this.

Received a call from Blue Cross/Blue Shield about my Health Care.  Called back as I have been having a lot of testing, Dr. visits, etc. due to a medical condition.   I was told the name was Sheram (mumbled so I couldn't really get a good solid name).   They wanted ALL information from me and would give me nothing.   I didn't give them my name!  They wanted to provide me with preventative health care services supposedly for free.  Funny thing is my company all provides on-site all these so called preventative health care services they were offering.   My employer provides a full medical staff on site, nutritionist, physical therapist, trainer, etc.    Of course, they know nothing about me or my company, so they were too stupid to know this.   This reeks of a telephone phishing scam to pull information from unsuspecting individuals.   The phone number they gave, is not the number to the Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield provider contracted by my company.   Stay clear of these phone calls and thank goodness not everyone is naïve and websites such as these exist warning others to beware!

Left message implying that they were my health insurance company. Sounded convincing because they voice-synthesized my spouse's name. Did not return the call.

"Samantha" left a message, claiming to be calling "on behalf of Anthem" and saying my wife (they knew her name) "may be eligible for" preventive care.  i.e. they want to sell us something.
Ignore.

866-670-1467 called and hung up! But what was interesting is that on my ID call received show another number which is 054-552-5704. Note that the 054 area code belongs to "Orange" Cell phone company! Also its very interesting that is that All US Phone Call Records, live who calls whom and perhaps audio/video  And Billing Done In Israel!
