They called saying I owe an old debt. I have paid 3 different scammers over the past 5 years who threatened me on some old pay day loans, and I paid about $2,700 in total owing these debts to these weird 800,866 numbers claiming to be debt collectors. Never got receipts or copy of the debts from my payments, I just paid them because I knew of these loans along time ago and because they threatened me with court actions. I was stupid and did not know my rights when I paid them. Now they continue to call me every other year or so saying I owe the same debts. I know I didn't take out any additional pay day loans except those 3. I think these people just took my money and probably have done so to others as well. Be careful,do not give them your money and speak with an attorney or you have the right to take these actions against a debt collector that violates the FDCPA:

   File a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau against the collector.
   File a complaint with your state's attorney general.
   File a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
   File a civil suit in your state or federal court for up to $1,000 including damages.

I got the same call with the same thing I canceled my card

They called and said "it was an important message and we should call legal services related to fraud and identity theft. Asked us or our lawyer to call 866 670 6832

This number is from a debt collector.  They scare you by trying to tell you that fraud charges are being brought against you for bad check drawn on (unknown) bank and that it was perpetrated over state lines and that a warrant for your arrest has been issued and you will be served within 72-hours to your address to appear in court...  WTF?????  What means they won't try to scare you into paying  a "outstanding debt with CashNet payday loan....over the internet".

They called my house for my sister she just happened to be here and they told her she owed 4000.00 on a 500.00 online loan. She did take out a loan sum 10 years ago. She told them that she would tend to it when she got the legal papers they threatened her with then she hung up. Well then they called back and I answered and try to tell them I wasn't her and they said they needed to leave a message I told them state law says they can only contact her once a day if they talk to her which they did. I told them next I was on phone with my attorney cause they had called 5 times once every minute. Then Sharon called me a hussy lol. Good luck everyone....

This DEBT COLLECTOR @ 1-866-670-6832 flaps their gums about identity theft and fraud and they come across as a "Legal Service".....
Call them on it and tell them they are debt collectors and then they spew things like coming to your home, charging you with a "bad check" scam and how they will send someone to your home with legal papers for you to sign.  Tell them you will put the coffee on and look forward to seeing them.  Just a bunch of BS that flows from them....ignore them or insult them with their "tactics" ...they hang up on you...
They keep calling every couple of months...Last time I heard from them was in August and October of 2015....[***]!!!!

They are only DEBT COLLECTORS.....using situations such as fraud, identity theft, and serving you with court papers...Call them on for who they really are and I guarantee they will eventually hang up because they know you are on to them....I'm considering a civil lawsuit for damages because they refuse to CEASE AND DESIST when you tell them!
