Called from 540-385-0635 with a robotic voice at first listing my name and a file number, which then switched to a "live" person who mumbled both her name and the company. She used the standard, "a complaint has been filed against you in our office ... if you or your representative do not contact us then we will be forced to file against you ... please call back at 866-670-9873." There was a lot of scratchiness when she was speaking, too. "540" is a Central Virginia area code; my guess is this is a call center hiring individuals and giving them lists with old collectibles (paid or open). The script never varies with these organizations. I might call back were they a little more original. ;-)

Received threatening messages 2 days in a row with case number DZR3178. Saying a complaint has been filed and if I do not comply...jumbled voice of female unable to hear company name.

Calls from a spoofed number from your local area code.  Starts off with a computer generated voice listing a name and a "file number" than a recorded voice threatens you with "if we do not hear from you or your representative we will have to report your non compliance" and lists 866-670-9873 as a callback.   This is a scammer. Do not talk to them,they will attempt to intimidate you to send them money.  Just hang up!

Just got a call from 323-553-8582 with they left a voicemail to call 1-866-670-9873

No clue whom they are or what this is for. They, of course, do not identify themselves.

Left message saying I have a complaint in my name and uses different Oregon Area Code 541 numbers to call

I have gotten multiple calls from this 540 area code number. When answered there was an automated message with muffled voice mentioning court claims and saying to call back to the 8666079873. Issa scam!

I’ve received multiple calls from this number ( 866-670-9873). They’ve called  from my area code with a local number. I didn’t not answer so they left a message and mentioned that a complaint was filled in their  office and if they did not hear from me they would report that I am non compliant. They are scammers !

They just called me as well and couldn’t understand a thing that was said. Scratchiess as well in the call and then no company name just we have a file and need to hear from you. I hate that our cell phone companies sell our numbers for things just like this. All ya can do is block it and move on. Scam!

I got a call from a local number but the call back was 866-670-9873. They had an automated case number then a female gets on my voicemail and said there are legal charges pending and I need to call the 866 number. No thanks. Try another person to call please

Received five calls .  Same message on my answering machine.

I never answer my phone, unless a voice starts talking on my answering machine that I recognize and wish to speak to. . THESE VIPERS ARE A DIME A DOZEN.. They won't stop. I personally don't care at all anymore how many times they call.. I turned my ringer off for good.. They rarely leave any messages and if they do I simply delete it.. No muss, no fuss!!  It's my phone!! I paid for it, so there is absolutely no rule that says a have to anwser it or call anyone back. . Totally my discretion, isn't it? ? They're from India trying to scam people. Received a called from 206-800-0046 and there was a recording and had mentioned a case number and to call this number 866-670-9873. but when you really listen to their voice, they're scammers from India! Yup, India! IIIIIIIIIISAAAAAAAAAAAA SCAAAAAAAAM PEOPLE!

Have been getting 2-3 calls a day for the past weeks from 256-860-1922.  They demand I'll be reported for non-compliance if I don't called this number back.  No thanks, I know a scammer when I hear it!

Keep getting messages that a complaint has been filed against us and for me or our representative to call 866-670-9873 before severe action will be taken

A recording stating there was a complaint filed against me.  Stated to call 866-670-9873.  I don't owe anyone anything.  Scam.....do not call them or give them any information.  I don't have any debt or old bills that I never paid.

Received a call from this number when answered, get a recording with a file number with instructions to call 866.670.9873 or press one to speak to representative. First,  I was told I’d taken out a loan in 2014 for $1000 then I was told by the “account manager” it was 2012. They had my address and driver’s license number, but the wrong bank information. I could barely understand the rep I talked to so when I was transferred to the acct manager to process my payment information, I asked for the company name, he told me, I googled it and “fake collection companies” came up. At that time I hung up and cancelled my card. They called back to inform me to sign the DocuSign form and I told them I wasn’t going to. The manager got on the phone and tried to threaten that I agreed over a recorded line and some issue about the company suing me and then hung up. He used the name James Brooks.
