Receiving harassing calls. I do not know who they are but I want this too stop.
It's ridiculous that we do not have any privacy and our phone numbers at work and home are so public.

Started getting calls and texts stating that I applied for a loan.   I did not apply for credit of any kind.  After arguing with them and refusing to give them my SS# I told them I would be calling our states attorney general and see what course of action they recommend.   Then they were all to willing to remove me from the list..

    I never applied

Apparently some identity thief tried to apply for a loan in my name.  I called back when they called me and demanded an immediate callback.  They wanted to verify my SS# last 4 digits, and I demanded to speak to a manager, who said that a MARKETING WEBSITE sent them my information!

I had received a lifelock alert that someone was trying to apply for a payday loan in my name.  I told lifelock it was bogus and they are on it.  How could someone get my information?  That is what worries me.

Information is readily available from businesses that share personal information with anyone Affiliated with their Marketing, that you gave permission to use when you signed up for their product or service, including your Bank, Cable company, phone service provider, Insurance company, etc.

Most people never read those "Privacy Policy" sections when they click on any of those "You must agree to....Agreements" that are on many websites and also Forms you sign in person. They contain information about who they Share your information and how much of it to whom.
Included are the Privacy Policy and "Your Rights" sections that they purposely "hide" because they know most people will not want to take the time to read all of those pages in this fast paced world we live in. People want service and they want it now, so the Marketing Industry capitalizes on peoples unwillingness to READ.

Way, way, way too much.  You will probably pay back at least $1000 or more.  Smarten up, borrowing money from these places is never going to be a solution to any problem.

Did you really expect someone who posted 4 years ago to answer you? Then again, you also seem to think this is a valid way to obtain a loan so...

they keep calling my work number and asking for someone who doesn't even work here. they have to listen to our (pretty long) vm explaining we're a business and our business hours and all that. they shouldn't be harassing people.

Definitely harassing me by calling constantly and leaving voicemails just saying that it is “Fox hills” calling and to call that number back . Like I’m supposed to know who Fox hills is? Never heard of it so no I am not calling back . It’s shady that they say nothing else their lack of information on the voicemail is a dead giveaway that their a scam . Nobody in their right mind would return that call unless ur literally regarded . No offense .

    Irritated
I just got a message from my boss saying I was supposed to call fox hills back.  Like for real..you have to call my work..if you tried reaching me by my number and couldn't get an answer theres probably a reason...because I don't know you and I'm not interested. If it was important leave a message.  That doesn't mean call my job. Because guess what.you aren't getting me to answer there either
