I checked the number on these sites because the caller ID says 'unavailable' -  saw comments that they say this is a scam number so I am letting you know, IT IS NOT.
the number looked vaguely familiar to me so I decided to call it back.
It is Humana  Pharmacy (mail order) . if you are a customer of theirs, it is wise to answer or call them back. it is info on shipping your next order of meds!

Yes, I'm a Humana Pharmacy customer and I didn't pick up the phone since all I had was phone number and "Unknown".  They need to change their Caller ID information.

Warning! This is a scam - phishing for information - i do no do mail order through humana 0nly pickup at pharmacy and the call wanted to know personal information - i also received email to the same subject of having a prescription ready for me - again i do not do mail order.
They are trying to get personal information from you - do not give out personal information over phone - humana does not call the patient they would call the doctors office if this was real

This is a valid Humana Pharmacy number.  They do ask some personal information to verify who you are. NOT A SCAM.

I disagree with NOBO.  I called back (but rarely do!).  They knew drug prescription info that only my Dr & Humana would (should) know.  Newly dealing with Humana, they needed confirmation (said: new Medicare rule) to ship to me.  As I had originated new prescriptions recently thru my Dr. who was to provide prescriptions to Humana,  i say:  this number is truly legitimate!...  and is indeed HUMANA.  Talk to them if you want your medications!

THAT SAID, they absolutely should not have a Caller ID that states "TOLL FREE CALL"   (for Toll Free Caller)...  that is so wrong!  Caller ID should be correct and informative from such a company!!!   To resolve this (maybe) for all of us, I'll discuss this issue with them.  There are many callers using that bogus, nondescript ID;   normally, I immediately block all numbers with that normally-bogus ID listing!   Hope it helps.

If you still don't trust this number, or the ID, don't answer and don't call them back at the same number (which also works well).  Instead, ignore the call and then call Humana Pharmacy directly, using Humana numbers you should have already; talk to a person!  You need your prescriptions filled; be proactive...  and, in this case:  reactive.

Kudos to 800notes for providing this service, and its respondents, where I confirmed that this number (and ID) were legitimate!!!  It's why I'm now getting my new prescriptions delivered!

It's Mikk, again.   JUST called Humana Pharmacy directly (800-379-0092).  The representative said that they CANNOT have the caller ID state that it is HUMANA because of HIPAA Federal law intended to protect your privacy!  The explanation:  If others near the phone heard the call come in and saw a HUMANA caller ID, then your medical privacy would have been breached.   So, they are highly to break Federal law and thus very UNlikely to change their caller ID.   So, in this way, a medical prescription company (and likely not just Humana!) protect my privacy but (If I ignore the call and bogus ID) they compromise receipt of my medication and thus my health.   WOW!

It is humana.  The stupid idiots don't know how to set their phone system so it provides a proper ID.  Also, there is no way to tell them "I don't want any calls! Just email."  Idiots!

This is not a scam. It is Humana Pharmacy. I guess it takes too much taxpayer money to have their number identified as such.  And, they do not ask personal information.

Thank you so much. I did not answer at first, but called back after reading your post. It is definately Humana confirming prescrption through their pharmacy.  I sure wish they would put their name on caller id so we can answer appropriately. It would save a lot of time and confusion about unknown numbers. Thank you again. Very helpful post!!

I've received a few automated calls from this number within the last few days. I wasn't available, so they went to voicemail. The caller ID just showed 'TOLL FREE'. When I listened to the voice messages, they said something like "For Espanol marke ocho" (for spanish press 8). Then it wanted to know if this was me by asking "Is this xxxx (my name), please say yes or no." without revealing who was calling.

This can be very dangerous & suspicious to answer questions from an unknown caller, either verbally or through a keypad on your telephone. (If there was more that the automated caller stated I do know because the voicemail may have cut them off or the automated caller may have just hung up when it did not receive an answer to it's question of who I was.)

But I also had another call yesterday from another number, which happened to be a local number (possibly because the pharmacy warehouse, etc. is local here where I live). This was the same day as at least one of the unidentified 'TOLL FREE' calls that

I received and quoted the content above.
The caller ID on this call did state 'Humana Pharmacy' !
It also left a voice mail stating to call 855-250-7660 and have Humana ID.

Therefore I must state "HOGWASH" on the privacy issues suggested by other people above for no valid caller ID. This is just poor customer service. When you do speak to someone about private issues they do make you provide your information so they can verify that they are speaking to an authorized person anyway.
