Another "computer security" scammer.

Antivirus software scam

Some scammer who popped up and posed as Microsoft security last year. Got a phone call from the same outfit today saying I had a security problem. I have upped my security and they can't get into my computer now so have resorted to the telephone.

just got a call on my home phone, a recorded message. I like to chat with these people in person and waste their time, to see what kind of reaction i can get. I know its a scam. LOL

Block your phone number, and phone them back ( its toll free ) and waste their time.

called to say that they had installed some software on my computer that they needed to upgrade
the thing that tipped me off was they said my bank but not my banks name
am reporting this to the 2 banks I deal with

woman called and left voice mail saying there was a red flag on my account, did not say what account, I called back and was told they were a third party acting for Microsoft.   Man named Peter, but with heavy Indian account asked that I start my computer so they could show me the error.  Lots of people talking in background. I believe this group is the same, or a related group that was able to freeze my computer three months ago by infecting a website which was being viewed and leaving a phone number to call them for repair. Significant sums of money were requested. This happened even though an antivirus program was running at the time.  I believe both are scams.

Indeed another "computer security" scammer.
