Received a call on my cell saying they were investigating a claim against me and it seemed out of character for me and I should call and talk to a mediator, what?

I got the same call but they said it was for someone I've never heard of. I looked up the call back # they left in the message (888-702-4797) and it seems to be a scam tied to a company called the BWC Group:

Total scam!  Almost word for word what the other commenters said!

I got the same thing but the person they were looking for was an Alex someone.... no one here by that name. Also said it was out of character. Probabaly some BS to get some unsuspecting fool to call them back for a giant rip off bill on your phone.
