Forgot to mention:  first callback worked.  Second callback at that number wouldn't connect, got error from my cell carrier 2x.

Called left message saying I got notice of intent and now a complaint has been filed against me, for me or my attorney to contact the issuers number to reference number..they would forward proceedings w/or without my knowledge, time sensitive matter...blah blah blah. 1st I NEVER recieved any notice and 2nd u are a spam debt collector! They never said company name in any part of left message. Don't answer this call. They're just trying to scare u into paying a back bill even if it's 10 yrs old. Comes up as Unknown or unavailable caller ID.

They are now contacting my family members. This is for a debit that is 12 years old and no even on my credit report. It was for a 300 credit card . They want 6750.00. what a scam

This collection company also called me and said they were going to file something along the lines of a legal suit. I have never received anything in writing by mail by Kenwood and Associates.

I think Kenwood and Associates have a website, although it appears to be a bogus-looking website. Their website is https://kenwoodandassociates.com/

ALERT
Collection agencies are required to obtain licensing in the areas in which they are contacting consumers about a debt. BBB has requested this company provide proof they have the necessary licenses to operate where they are collecting debt.  This collection agency has not responded to our requests.

BBB advises consumers to be aware of their legal rights when contacted by a collection agency.  The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) enforces The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act which prohibits  abusive and harassing behavior by any debt or collection agency.  The act states specific practices and rules under which debt collectors must abide by.  There are penalties for agencies found breaking these laws.  Collection agencies must not use crude or offensive language or identify themselves as anyone other than by their business name.  If a consumer believes a debt or collection agency has violated any of the FDCPA laws the BBB encourages them to file complaints with the BBB at bbb.org and Federal Trade Commission at ftc.gov.

This is a SCAM!  Do not believe it!  Do not give them your credit card! TOTAL SCAM!!!!!

This phone number is a complete scam. Under any circumstances, do NOT provide them with your credit card information. This company has not proved they have a license to collect in this area to the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Save yourselves the trouble and hang up immediately. This fraudulent practice must not continue.

Called several times (unknown) stating I owe for a 2004 credit card. Emailed a letter. Talked me into payment plan. After the fact I got smart and called back stating I will not pay. Now their calling again to work with me.

Scammers. Don't even speak to them if they call you regarding a bad debt. Hang up. They scammed me out of money and my banking info. I've closed that account.
