Getting tons of spam faxes from this one too

Called the toll free 866-723-9054 number on the "New Health Plan" flyer. I immediately asked for the name of the firm so that I may check their website. Informed that their website was down and would not be available in the the near future. After ending the call, I immediately called back to inquire about billing and was told in addition to the first month there was a nonrefundable $99 initiation fee. The name of the company I was told is Equal Medical Healthcare which I wasn't able to find under google or any other search engine. As much as I need affordable healthcare benefits, I cannot afford to be involved in a scam.

If it sounds to good to be true...it likely is.  It's amazing how companies like this one don't give you any way to check them out.  The reason is...this is the worst kind of scam.  Playing on people's fears and desires to lower the cost of their healthcare is simply a gross shame.  These scammers have been hunted down and run from state to state.  I guess the money is too good for them to stop the scam.

I received a fax from this company also. I called to find out more info and they put you on hold and never come back. I did find out that the company sending this info got the #866-723-9054 from AT&T (877) 973-7767
and got #888-251-6805 from Global Crossing (800) 783-2020. Since we cannot get to the actual company, maybe by calling their carrier and complaining repeatedly they will do something about it.

I found out that this company is called Fairmont Marketing.  I also called ATT.  They gave me the number of the Annoyance call department.  800-348-8727.  You have to leave a message for a specialist to call you back.  I also got the number of the legal dept. at ATT.  It's 800-438-5678.  They are of no help.  As long as ATT is making money, it appears that they don't care what their customers do with the lines.

Nice that their plan also includes "free pet insurance."  What a scam.

If you want to take care of this problem go here. The FCC Will handle the problem. I have already Complained Myself about this number & I'm sure the more people that complain about it the better the chances are that the company doing this will be Fined.

Getting a fax from this number every morning. It advertises some "new health plan". Looks like a scam.

My co-worker received a fax from 866-723-9054 advertising a "new health plan".  The following day she called the number to enroll her son in this healthcare plan.  She was told by the woman who answered the phone that the name of the company is Equal Medical Healthcare.  She gave them her checking account number and they deducted $180 from the account.  She was also given a local phone number and a confirmation number for future reference.  She was told that her healthcare insurance information package would arrive on April 1, 2008.  It never arrived.  My co-worker tried calling the local number she was given on April 2, 2008 to find out where her package was.  The number was disconnected.  She tried to call the 866-723-9054 phone number this morning but the woman who answered the phone told her to call back in 1 hour.  This sounds like a scam to me.  I hope this posting will help others to avoid falling victim of scam.

"Equal" is a scam, don't belive them.  File a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at the above web address.

This is getting to be annoying. 5 or more junk faxes a day to a small church. This one is NEW HEALTH PLAN - Call 866-723-9054. 888-251-6805 to remove.

Illegal Blast Fax offering a health plan for $89.50 a month.  Please!! if you believe that I've got a really nice bridge to sell you. Any legitimate offer to sell health insurance will have the name of the product, the name of the seller and the sellers license number as well as their address.  All these people want is access to your checking account. These guys are scam artists who steal from people who are desperate for affordable health care. Talk to a home town insurance agent, one who will assist you in getting a REAL Health Plan.

We got the same fax for a New Health Plan $89.50 per month call 1-866-570-5435.  I thought it was a scam so I called to ask a few questions.  They said it would cover all doctors in our area and the fax said all pre-existing conditions excepted.  Whatever!  She would not give out any more information without me giving my personal information.  It just goes to show, if it sounds too good to be true, IT IS!  Sorry thing is that some people will believe anything and fall for it.

They have several hundred toll free numbers that they use. You can't get anything out of them. When you press them for an address or phone number, they get mad and some of them will even cuss at you. It's disgusting. I'll never understand how they can continue to get away with it.

The fax was for New Health Plan - I called the number and asked what kind of health plan was it: insurance, savings, medical discount - the guy said it is whatever I need it to be.  He put me on hold and then when he came back I asked him what company he was with and he hung up.  Since I called I my cell phone I gave him the benefit of the doubt that I lost the connection - so I called back and let the phone ring and ring and ring until at&t timed out and ended the call . . .
Do yourself a favor and do NOT fall for this scam.
