The guy claimed calling on behalf of Globe and Mail.  With a subscription for 3 months, you can get 2 air tickets (or a chance of getting 2 tickets? Not sure).  I said I wasn't interested.  He hangup politely. Maybe a ligitimate marketing call.

i missed the call, but was curious who it was. seeing it was 1-866 i called back and got the call centre and a real person picked up right away which surprised me.
she said that her telemarketing company was outsourced by the globe and mail.

if you sign up for 3 months of g&m you get free airline tickets there and back from whatever destination you choose...  not sure if its legit.  did not have time to ask further questions. i asked her if she could mail me the info, she said she could not...

They call and ring until you finally pick-up. I hang up and a few days later the same thing. Somebody should cancel their number!

It is apparently the Globe and Mail.. or that is what they say they are.. and offered me 2 complimentary air tickets to i don't know where, nor did I ask. I asked the guy to get my number off the list, and after a desperate attempt to get me to buy Globe and Mail and failing, he hung up on me before I had a chance to remind him again to get my No. off their list.. I'll see if I get any other calls from these very annoying people.

NEVER give anything to these people. If they are legit, then they should not have any prb mailing u the docs.

apparently the automatic caller is corrupted.  I have received 20+ calls from them in the last 36 hours.  Very annoying.

I got call from these guys and they claimed they were calling on behalf of Global and Mail. I asked them not to call me again , and guess what...they did call me again and again. The guy on the other end claimed his name was Taler Munn and he asked for my name which i never gave him. scam or not , i do not want to be called by this guys!!

No one there when we answered. I suggest we all use one of the contacts at http://www.theglobeandmail.com/help/contact-paper/ to complain about their telemarketer.

And yes, our number IS on the do NOT call list . . .

called a couple of times in the past week. I have never asked for a subscription to the Globe and Mail. my number is on the do not call list I don't know how they got my number.If it continues I will have to block them.

I did leave a msg/comment to Globe and Mail. Ask them to advise their telemarketer not to call those people who are already on the do-not-call list.

Not sure its the Globe & Mail. Usually with legit paper pushers I can't use call blocking on them This one it worked fine.

I GOT A CALL TWICE, "GLOBE AND MAIL, I HUNG UP!!I ALSO GETTING HALF PRICE MEDICATION  QUITE A FEW TIMES?????

I wish they stop calling us.

No answer for a few seconds and then a recording but do not know what it said because I hung up and dialed call trace and it was caught in time but that does nothing so I blocked the number.
