this guy has called my house and now my cellphone......no messages?  Kinda strange, no message left.  Anyone know if this is a telemarketer of some sort??

Been getting alot of calls from this number.  Same thing - you answer and no response.  So I called it back!  Some company called Dedicated Contact Solutions!!  So now I'm gonna' have to find out who they are and return the favor!!

these people said they where selling newspapers but instead got my bank info and cleaned me for over 2 thousand dollars.i called the police and they said they couldnt do anything.stay away from these [***]!!!!

I want them to stop...sooooooooooooooo tired of telemarkets day in and out...signed up on the registry...but hasnt been long enough yet to take effect...anyone know anymore about these jokers??????????

I keep getting calls from this number 1-866-740-3956.  There never appears to be anyone on the line as it usually rings once or so and then silence.  I wish I knew how to get this stopped.

1-866-740-3956 has been calling for a week now and I answered this time to tell them to stop calling and of course there is no one there....the DNC registry is a joke!!!

We've also been receiving calls from this number 1-2 a day. Very Annoying!
We have been signed up with the registry since last year but it seems like these calls are getting more & more frequent. Telemarketers have definitely found ways around the registry and the word is going around fast...

We just called this number back and they said they were selling the Chronicle Herald (Halifax newspaper).

This is a most annoying call at dinner time usually .I answer and no one is there

And actually, that response by "The Doctor" sounds like advertising in itself. (btw, who would call themselves 'the doctor'? Someone who thinks they might get an ear.)

This number has called at least 2-3 times a day for about a week now...I've been told pressing # a bunch of times will stop them from calling

This number called me and it was the Whig Standard (Kingston newspaper).

same here this number 1-866-740-3956 has called me at least 3 times a week for the last 3 weeks I have called this number back everytime they call me they say there are selling Kingston Whig Standard Newspaper Subscriptions I told the guy that I am alreadya Whig subscriber therefore I dont understand why you guys keep calling me. He said that he would remove my number from their calling list YAH RIGHT!! Starting too get ticked off.

one of the telemarket loopholes is if the business you deal with such as your bank, phone company, internet company, etc has associated (marketing) partners anything you sign from the business you deal with gives the partnered business consent to contact you.... its usually in the fine print who they partnered with. The downfall is not being able to opt out of the partnered company without cancelling your business company. Also if you do cancel your business with a company they still have right to contact you up to i think it was 6 months after, but it could have changed now. So you would still have to request company associated partners to place your number on their do not call list as well - everything the (canadian) telemarketers has the right to do is listed in the CRTC law - http://www.crtc.gc.ca/eng/archive/2008/dt2008-6.htm#m3

yah i got called once last thursday and today but was away from my cell both times.

If the guy did his job proper he would place it in his computer as "already a subscriber" or customer or whatever code - it can take the systems just as long to go thru and filter out already customers, just as long as if placing the customer on the company's DNC lists -- 31 days.
