Got a letter in the mail. called the number and was directied to go one line to www.myeasypay.com. Letter stasted I owed a paymnent of $26.78 by December 27, 2007. account listed started with 4888 for card number. have no accounts with that series.

Got a letter in the mail that stated I owed a payment of $585 due on 2/27/08 with account  starting w/4888 but I have no accounts with this series of numbers. Letterhead FIA CARD SERVICES.

I just got a letter stating I owe that amount also ($585). I have no account with the account number they have listed. There is no address listed. I'm going to do a little more research on this. Have you found anything out?

I got the same letter today with the same account # starting with 4888 and a similar amount. I have excellent credit and I don't owe anything to any credit card company. I'm just a random victim like you. I'm reporting this to the FBI, Federal Trade Commission and any other agency I have to. I advise anybody else who get this letter to do the same. These people are scam artists and they need to be investigated.

My mother had a credit card with MBNA when she died. And, even though they were unable to prove that my father's signature was also on the contract, they insisted he was "liable" for the balance owed. He made payments on it until he became too ill to continue. When they became nasty with him and threatened to "ruin his credit", he told them: "I'm 78 years old. Go AHEAD and "RUIN" it". They backed off and cancelled the remainder of the "debt".

If I had known then what I now know, these scumbags would not have gotten a DIME out of him.

Got a letter which stated I was past due on payment of $366.00 to BoA on an account starting with 4888 of which I have no such account.  That's when I entered the phone # in Goggle  and found out others are getting this too.

I've researched the account numbers starting in 4888 because I got the same letter & didn't recognize the account (but I did recognize the amount). Seems that the code indicated it's from a US issued Bank of America VISA Credit Card Account. My account has been closed for years but Im still paying off major debt. I do believe "4888" is CODE for former BofA VISA "now closed-no longer open-possibly very old" card account. Good luck guys!! We all need it now-a-days!!!!!
