they say they are a medical billing company wanting to set people up with software and doctor's office to do their billing...send a money order for $199 to Netwire 8721 Santa Monica Blvd., Ste 118, Los Angeles, CA 90069
Paul Davis-866-764-0257 ext 117.  I can't find anything on a company that name or anything on the phone number but the address does exist.  No I am not sending $199 money order to anyone I can't find information on.

I just got off the phone with Mr Paul Evans-he claims to be.  I also was told to send $199 to Netwire in Los Angeles.  I am so desparate for work, I almost did it but decided to research him on the internet.  What a jerk, I was told I would get paid $4-$7 a claim.  I am calling the BBB on this guy and calling my local newspaper to inform them of this.

I also seen the add in the newspaper, called it and got the "you send me $199.00 by check or money order and you get the software program for billing". I received another call last nite saying there was a postal problem and to resend the checks to a different address.

Can you explain about your message a little bit? What did you find on the internet about this guy/company? Just interested in finding out more. Thanks

Same as all the others. I saw this ad in the Watertown,NY paper making $13-$14/hr. I called and spoke to Paul to get more info. I had to think about this because their are so many ripoffs to work at home, it's not that easy. I'm waiting for him to return my call so I can ask more questions.
Has anyone heard of any scams from this phone#?

Has anyone actually paid and received the software to do medical billing at home? I find it strange that you pay him then have to wait 14 days to setup the software. Other companies have you download the software right from their website.

I received a phone call from a Paul Evans today after leaving information on a voiced mail to him regarding working at home filing claims for doctors.  I truely felt that it was legimate since I did see it on a job finder site such as Monster.com or Career Builders.com.  He states the name of the company is Netwire and you do need to buy the software from them for $199.00 and they will email you claims that need to be file for doctors and they will pay you between $5-$7 per claim.  He states that they do have 24 hour support if you have any questions.  I did give him a credit card number for the soft ware and he did give me a phone number to call him back if I had any more questions.  I know now that I did a big mistake after looking up this company on the web.  Thanks to this site I may be able to recover our money.  I am going to report this to the authorities.

I also received a call from Paul Evans and we did authorize him with a credit card to send us the software.  Now after finding this site we are very worried that this is not a stand up company and is a fraud.  I found the site on a job finder site such as Monster.com or Career Builder.com and felt since it was there didn't have to worry about it being secure.  We are going to persue this to see what is really going on.

I hope for your sake this isn't a scam. I thought it was odd that you would have to send money and then you will receive the software. I tried doing medical billing from home from another company about a year ago, as soon as I purchased it I downloaded it immediately from their website. By the way did you look at Netwire's website? You can't even get into anything to investigate this company. By any chance the phone # he gave you to call with any questions....was it 216-9194. If so, this # has been disconnected. I did contact my local paper this ad was in and they are removing it from the classified's. Let me know how you make out. GOOD LUCK.

Have you heard anything from Paul? DId you send the $$?

I called this number at 3pm today and it was a recording describing the job, I asked hom to call me back and he did not. I just called the 866 number and 310-288-6549 and the greeting has changed to "leave your message at the tone". I left him another message to return my call. Hate to say it, but I feel we have been scammed! I will keep you all posted on any news. DO NOT SEND HIM MONEY!!!!!

You are right we were scammed.  We have turned this over to the fraud division.  We did receive correspondence from him and there was no return address and they sent us a HIPPA form to sign and mail back.  What a rip off.

Wow!  I am one of those people who loves to work at home.  November 5th, i was reading in the Litchfield newspaper and saw the same add.  On the other hand it had that number plus the number of the hospital here.  I called the hospital and they said it was a misprint. I talked to Paul Evens and things sounded good so stupid me i sent a money order of $199.00.  In 9 days i recieved the material i needed.  I spent 2 wks reading and printing.  I read and read and then it hit me.  When you are done with your studies call customer service and they will lead you the rest of the way.  PEOPLE, THERE IS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER! We have been calling over and over and all you can hear is some man (i guess Paul) talking to someone and then you hear a beep.  I have done research on Paul Evens with Netwire and NOTHING. With just his name Paul Evens, all i got was sexprediters.  With the address all i got was 8721 and not Santa Monica Blv. or Suit 118.  I am really feed up with this and i will be making calls to get my money back and i will take all the action i need to.

I answered an ad in our local newspaper too for a medical billing position.  It wasn't this phone number but this one 88-485-5118 ext 435 & the guys name was John Cleary from New York. He gave me the following address for a company name Home Teck, 8721 Santa Monica Blvd #118, Los Angeles, CA  90069. John told me that I needed to send in a money order for $199.00 & they would send me the software.  I searched on the internet by the phone number & came up with this same web site to post rip offs.  I also searched by the company name & nothing.  Please do not send them any money, by the looks of it is a scam!
