i kept getting these calls that don't show up on my caller id so... i decided to put a message on my anwser machine saying that i would not anwser any calls that didn't show up on my caller id. and now i have started getting calls from 1-904-696-8700 tx and 1-866-764-1408. i dosen't scare me but if there is a person behind it i would love to see him or her(more likely him) exposed. so that we can meet face to face man to man. it seems logical to think that it is a computer error or a person with alot of free time. this has been going on fo about 3 years.

Calls once a day, and when the phone is answered they hang up, trying to call them back is pointless, no one ever answers, but you do get to listen to some muzak for as long as you want to sit on the line...

Iam also getting calls from 1-866-764-1408 except that I actually talk to someone.  They tell me they are calling on behalf of sprint and that I have won a free phone.  These calls go have been going on for about a year. I thought I got them to stop but it just started back up again about a week ago.  The guy sounded like he had an Indian accent (not that that really matters) Said his name was Steven and he was in Kentucky.  He said he didn't have to give me the company name that he was calling from when I pressed him on it and I said he did he hung up on me.

I've been getting calls from this number as well. I did get an indian guy calling about sprint just about the time these calls started. sometimes I get messages on my answering machine that say nothing or just say hello.
I have been shutting off my ringer when I go to bed now as the calls are at 8:30 and I don't want to be awoken.

Why would people be doing this ? What are people's political affiliations or web surfing habits on here ? I do some stuff checking out 9/11 conpiracies. It's far fetched to think the CIA or something is harrasing people, but I've heard crazy stuff before. Not this crazy I'll admit

There was no message it was just on my caller ID. I called back the number and it just clicked and hung up.

I just received a call from this number from at least the second time that I'm aware of. The creepy thing is that I answered the phone, "Hello," and my voice said "Hello" back. No joke. I just went to the Metairie Bank website via the link of a previous post, but this number isn't listed on their website. I'm also on the national do not call list, but I've never had a chance to say it.

I answered the call and no one was there. When I tried calling back I got a click and the recording "if you'd like to make a  call please hang up and try again". Caller ID showed 866-764-1408 and "TOLL FREE".

At 1:36pm on 1Oct07 I received a telephone call from 1-866-764-1408. A male on the other end, who identified himself as calling on behalf of Sprint, and did not give his name, proceeded to tell me I was selected to receive a free phone valued at $150.00. I interrupted him at this point and told him I was on the Do Not Call Registry. I was in the middle of advising him that a complaint was going to be filed (which I did) when he abruply hung up. I tried to call the number back but got a recording which said "All circuits are busy.." I called Sprint, who stated they would "check into it" but it wasn't them.

Called three times today - first two times, left for voicemail to pickup.  No message.  Finally got one about 8:45 tonight - claimed to be giving away a pre-activated cell phone for free.  I pressed them about who they were and that I was on the Do Not Call registry when they hung up.  Tried calling back, get an "all circuits busy" recording.  Not sure who they are, but they're starting to tick me off.

I got it today, same MO, except it was a free phone from TMobile.
What ticks me off is they HANG UP on you abruptly + the call back number is bogus.

I want to thank all of you for your posts.  I just received a call from the same number.  I didn't answer it (I'm at work) and they didn't leave a message.  I thought I'd check the internet for the number and found your posts.  I am glad I know where it came from and that it wasn't important.

Yeah this number keeps calling me and  it appears on my caller ID on my cell, i usually wont answer a call unless im sure its in my own area code, so i never answered their calls.

The thing is this isnt the only one i have like 5 other numbers as missed calls in my phone cuz i wasnt gonna answer them.

I get frequent calls from this number and just followed up on it today. I don't usually answer any calls out of my area code, but I did return the call today and got nothing but dead air. What does the caller have to gain from doing this?

I get calls every morning without fail around 8:30 AM from this number. They always leave a message which just says "hello ... hello". Since I am usually in bed at that time, I now have to always make sure my ringer is shut off and often people can't get a hold of me because I often forget to turn it back on.

One time I answered and they wanted to sell me some kind of credit whatever I think, I cut the woman off and I said "why do you always keep calling" and the woman just hung up.

It's very frustrating, I think the government should take action on these things

Got a call from this number this morning no answer. I waited a few minutes later called it back put me on hold for a about a minute and a guy answered saying bueno....so if it is a company you think they would answer with this is blah blah but it was more like a private residence hence I heard music playing when the guy spanish speaking man answered...time to file a complaint :)

I RECIEVED A TELEPHONE CALL AT 8:30 P.M.  THE MAN ON THE OTHER END SOUNDED LIKE HE WAS FROM INDIA. HIS ENGLISH WAS NOT PLAIN AND CLEAR.  HE SAID I JUST WON A FREE CELL PHONE. I TOLD HIM I WAS NOT INTERESTED AND NOT TO CALL BACK. HE KEPT ON TALKING, SO I HUNG UP ON HIM.

I just got a call from this number at 8:41am on today 1-7-08. This is the second call I've got from them. The first one came in on 11-1-07 at 5:30pm. The funny thing is, the first time I spoke with "Ricky" (that's what he said his name is) he said he was with T-Mobile offering me a free phone. Now, the second time I've spoke with him he says he's with Sprint. SAME GUY apparently!! I think it's some kind of hoax. And everytime, I report the number to www.donotcall.gov. I just won't answer anymore.

This number ahs called twice within 3 hours, but when I answer, no one says anything at all.

I get about 4 calls a day from this number and when I answer they don't say anything and there is a bunch of static/growling on the line. when i call that number back i hear waiting music then it disconnects.
