MedDirect is a healthcare payment services management company, providing outsourced retail revenue cycle products to healthcare providers, billers, and other service vendors.

The message on my voicemail said "This is Dr, Blank's office.  It is urgent that you return this call."

I returned the call.  When told it was MedDirect I did tell the lady it was deceptive to leave a message saying they were a doctor's office.  I would not give her my date of birth and she would not tell me what she wanted,  I told her that was fine, they've got my number, call back anytime if they want to tell me what's going on.

I have no known unpaid medical bills.

a lady named brittany called my husbands phone saying it was an emergency. there was no emergency and she was asking him for information about my whereabout address dob and other personal info

I received a message from "Brittany" on my cell phone. There was no information other than to call them back at this number, saying that anyone can help me, and that they are from Med Direct.

Just got a few messages left to my answering machine regarding an unpaid medical bills. I returned the call, mentioning the reference number they left, but could not get any information. The representative asking for personal information and refused to answer a simple question about nature of the calls.
I requested to stop calling and communicate via regular mail.

someone called asked who I was. When I stated my name, they asked to verify my identity by providing date of birth and id #. I refused and stated that they should know my info if they are calling. The caller said that I had an outstanding bill and I said mail to be because I have no outstanding medical bills and if this number continue to call me I will notify the Better Business Bureau. No calls since.

Call from 866-770-2116 at 11:06 A.M. PST Sunday local time. No message. MedDirect seems to be rather indirect. Why no message? They ain't afraid of no HIPAA.

Omnibus, Sanctus, Good riddance of yous!! Don't know why MedDirect is calling; and, frankly, neither does MedDirect!

They called and said they were Millennium Anesthesia Care. On callback they were MedDirect. If I have something outstanding, they can send me a bill. I am not giving any info to people misrepresenting themselves.  

Got a phone call and they left a message on Saturday morning at 8am. Way too early, I called back and had to leave a message for them to call me because after 20 minutes I was still listening to hold music. They just called back and it was the notorious Brittany asking me to verify address and dob. I told her I didn't have any info from her to give out mine to which she responded that I would be receiving correspondence via mail soon and hung up.

got a call from 866 770 2116 said it was from Royal Gorge Emergency Medicine, they gave me a reference number. When I called back I asked the person what her name was twice, I still didn't get it. I could barely understand her broken English. When I asked her what she was calling about she said she couldn't give me any information. I told her I couldn't give her any information either so I guess we're at an impasse!

I received a call from this number. Since it was unknown I googled this number and found lots of info reporting this as a scam. I have not called back.

I received a message as described above - 8am Saturday morning robo-call that sent me to an interminable wait.  A week and a half later they called again.   However, they left info that matches a recent test, which has been billed to me for the full amount - not sent to my insurance.   The callback number and account number are the same as on the bill. So there is an issue that needs to be resolved.

Received a message from them then called back. They wanted information. I wouldn't give any. Just a first name but they had a name just from that. Then Iasked what it was. They told me they couldn't give out without me verifying. Then the girl NELYNN asked me,"well you went to office name- didn't you?" This really made me mad. They weren't even calling about me and clearly messed up by forgetting they were calling about someone else. I asked for her worker is number she didn't have one. Then I asked for an address n only would give a PO Box. She would not say were thy are located. Meanwhile I can hear people speaking Spanish in the background. They said they do all the billing for the office but I have been going there for 8 years now and never heard of them and all the bills I have paid have never went to their P Box.... I will be calling the doctors office tomorrow!

They called from 866-770-2116 and wanted me to call back at 844-281-0568

Call today from this number, message says they are from "Empower Emergency Physician". They said that I am in Arizona... I am in Canada.

Some kind of collections agency scam. Called me today pretending to be from "Piedmont Anesthesia Associates" (which is the name of a real clinic in Atlanta, GA - I am in Toronto, Canada), however the caller seemed to be lying and trying to get personal information from me. Seems kind of shady and fraudulent.

I got a call from this phone # from a guy called Santos from Epic group. He left a message with a reference number..WTF with this scam call....

ID themselves as "Patient Service Center" which is a deceptive name for a debt collection group.  Seem to be basically a medical debt collecting group masquerading as medical service providers.

If they call you, and start demanding money on a medical debt, make sure you tell them to send you a debt validation letter by US mail. E-mail no good.

Someone called me from this phone number saying that they were Pediatrix Medical Group. I know this to be a real company. However, before I could ask what it was regarding they asked me to identify myself by providing personal information such as my birth date and my address. When I I told her but you called me she said she couldn't give out any information without me giving her that information first. I told her that I'm not comfortable with it and that I'd rather just call back. The person on the phone seemed miffed by that and told me that I was just going to have to give out my information when I called back anyway. She started sounding really unprofessional at that point . I told her that was okay. I hung up, did the research, I got the real number for Pediatrix Medical Group and called back at the real phone number. Turns out all the offices are closed because it's a federal holiday today. So how on earth could someone from this phone number be calling from a company who is Offices are all closed because of the holiday. This is a fraudulent number this is a scam don't trust anyone who calls you from this phone number they're fishing for information. Don't give it to them.

Why does the better business Bureau allow these harassing calls. Got called from this number. The message said call them back with your account number. Do not have any accounts per se and no outstanding medical expenses. So I called the number back out of curosity. They ask me my name. I gave them my last name. They said they had no name.So they ask for first name. I gave it to them. Then they said they could find it. So I asked them there company name. They said they were just a medical patient calling service for several companies and they couldn't tell me anything because of security law. I told them I couldn't tell them anything more because of my security protection. They were soliciting next my address. I told them no this was it. After they said they found my last name. I told them good send bill be awaiting there bill and goodbye. This was a very annoying call creating a scenario of an emergency.Please shut them down!

I repeatedly get calls from these people at this number and it seems that they are fishing for indignation that they purport to need for verification purposes; however they won't tell you what it us that they need to verify or who for. These people need to be shut down. I have my number on a do not call list yet I continue to get this crap almost daily.
