Scammer calling Auto Trader ads trying to steal your money to market your car.  Black guy by the name or Arland.

Got 5 similar calls on my voicemail from an Arland Simmons.  This is Car Innovations calling to scam you out of money.  They were previously known as One Stop Motors, both out of Las Vegas.  They spay Auto Trader and Craigslist auto ads.  Their scam is to tell you they have a buyer lined up for your car, financing and shipping.  They say they will market your car on all kinds of websites and get it sold.  It is pure BS, all done to get you to give them your credit card number.  Once they have your credit card number, you will be charged $300-500 for marketing services which are non-existant.  These scumbags became so well know for this scam as One Stop Motors, they had to change their name.  They have several names.  The current name they are using is Car Innovations.  The next step in their scam is to scour websites with info about their scam and post BS info about what a great service they have.  I expect to see a fake post here soon.  Don't fall for their scam.

I worked with Arland, and he did everything as promised. Very pleasant and professional. Sold my 1998 BMW in six days on Ebay Buy It Now Aucion. Im a very satisfied customer and would recommend Arland and his company Specialty Network to anyone!

I have received numerous from a business out of Nevada, I reside in Minnesota.

First call: 4/30/2009 12:11pm CST from 702-990-7883. A voice message was left and I was told to contact the above 1-866-771-1745 number about my car ad.

Second call: 4/30/2009 12:42pm CST from 702-736-4294

Third call: 4/30/2009 5:08pm CST from 702-685-9821

Fourth call: 4/30/2009 6:30pm CST from 702-736-2175

Fifth call: 5/1/2009 9:03am CST from UNKNOWN - blocked number.

Sixth call: 5/2/2009 9:34am CST from UNKNOWN - this time i answered the call and no one was on the other line.

Seventh call: 5/4/2009 2:20pm CST from UNKNOWN - Again I answered this call, with no one on the other line.

Eighth call: 5/4/2009 2:21pm CST from 1-866-771-1745

Just got a call from these guys, I have an autotrader ad. Will not be talking to them, obviously....

Did not answer as it looked suspicious.  Message sounded like it was a recording - caller identified self as Nick.  

The message said he was calling about the Toyota I had listed, but didn't indicate that he/they intended to help sell it.  I received two other similar calls from different numbers (and presumably different outfits) the first week after I listed.

I had a listing on Cars.com that ended three days ago.  I guess they are bit behind.

Even if I still had the car to sell, I wouldn't be calling these guys back.  Gave every appearance of being a scam.

Got a call from Nick this morning on voice mail.  Don't think I need his help.  Thanks for the warning.

I received a call from 866-771-1745.  Guy named Nick left a message of being interested in my vehicle that
I posted on Craigslist.  I figured I better check the number before calling and glad I did.  Life is too short to be
wasting my time with BS.  "Thanks" to all the people out there that posted about these maggots.

Just received a call from this number.  Same deal.  Said they are calling about the vehicle for sale on cars.com, but didnt leave a name or number to call back at.  Scam!  We will not be calling this guy back!

Got a call from this number from Nick. He left me a vm about my car on autotrader. I haven't spoken to him about this and don't think I will after reading this stuff here. Thanks

same as above really. "nick" left me a voicemail about my car. left a number to call him.  im not interested.  Sounds like a scam. dont fall for it.

- Saw this number on my caller ID.
- Let it go to voice mail.
- A guy named Dan says he's calling about my car for sale,
and if it's still for sale could I call him back at his office.
- Pleasant voice. Sounds just like an everyday nice guy calling from work.
- If I hadn't already learned about these "let us sell your car for $499" companies (by answering a call from a similar kind of outfit located in Fort Lauderdale), I would probably be calling him back thinking he is someone who is truly interested in buying my car.
