The wouldn't even tell me who they were asked what they were calling in regards to they said it was a "Personal Matter" and that I had to verify my information before they would give me any information about said matter from an unknown company.

I called the number back as well.  I had to ask who they were (because when they answered they didn't identified their business), and the girl said they were State Collection Service.  I asked that type of collection they do claims for and she replied with the same thing, that she can not give any information about their service without me confirming my information (asked for full name, data of birth, and address).  Not giving personal information to a company that will not inform you of what type of collections they are doing.  TOO MANY SCAMMERS OUT THERE..

I have gotten two voice messages from this number. The first time, I called back and I got an answering machine saying they'd call me back. Today I just googled, it and found your postings.
Just yesterday, I got a text message with an example of this exact same type of scam so thank you so much for sharing.

This is a real collector. I called back and played the cards by giving address. The lady was rude as hell but she did have a collection that was real from a hospital i went to in Utah. Hope this help.

Actually, no, it doesn't help at all since you failed to give us the legal name and business accress of this "real collector". It would be right there on the paperwork they mailed you, validating the debt. You did receive that paperwork, right? You didn't just pay some random caller who CLAIMS you owe money, did you?

How come you did not name this "real collector"?  By the way, they are not allowed by law to be "rude", and simply knowing about a bill does not make them a "real collector".  So, either you are one of these scammers trying to do damage control, or you really do not have a clue about how a "real collector" is supposed to operate.  Which is it?  If it is the former, then you came to the wrong website.  If is is the latter, then we need to educate you before you get scammed.

These people called and left a voicemail stating they were State Collection Services (a debt collector). I searched the number and landed here, but then I looked up their website and they are a legit collection service for hospitals. One thing that I do not like is that I have no way of knowing what amount they are trying to collect because they will not answer the phone. I do have an outstanding medical bill that we are fighting with the insurance company to pay, so I will likely just give it a little more time.

Left message with phone number to call back. Did not give name just said collector. I looked up number and got here. I dont owe for any medical services. Plus if I cant see it in writing I will not acknowledge  it.

my two year old could  put that  website  together  if  they where real they  would  call  not text  or  not  answer the  phone
