un-solisited calls from this number ,with 6 digit number referance , we are on a "no call list"and they keep calling us with messages ?

We continue to get calls from this number.  Each time I answer - there is a recording that asks me to hold - then someone comes on the line and asks for someone who doesn't live here - different names each time.  I ask that they remove this number from their list but they don't - the last call I received the person was extremely rude and told me to just "answer her questions" and "take an asprin".

I received a call from this number today, with a reference number and another telephone number to call.  I, too, am on the "no call" list, but I plan on calling just to harass them a little.

This too sounds like when i worked for a collection agency.  They give you the reference number(debt acct number) and a number to call back.  most collection companies have more than one number due to high volume of debts.  As for the sounding like they aren't from here, are all companies starting to out source? Also, if you are on the "no call" list, that doesn't pertain to collection agencies, that only works for telemarketers.

Someone calls from this number and I tell them the person they are asking for does not live here.I told them to take this number off of this list and they say they will not and hang up.I call them back and tell them not to call here again and they say they don't have to listen to me. I call them back again and told them not to call once and they get nasty and hang up.I will call the police next time this happens and I will own their company.

this number called for my neices husband, they no longer live here with me and when the lady asked for him i said not here can i take a message she hung up so i called them back and the guy that answered the phone said its for a debt that owed DRM? gave me a 6 digit reference code and asked that my nephew call asap and i told him the lady that called was very rude and he apologized on her behalf.. Just so ya'll know collection agencys are exempt from the do no call list.. so is Non-Profit charities, like March of Dimes, The police association and stuff like that are exempt.. only telemarketing calls not exempt are ones for like lowering your interest on credit cards or morgage etc.

If you are the correct person they are attempting to reach and you no longer want to be contacted, simply obtain the address of the debt collection agency and write them:

According to section 805 of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act:

"(c) CEASING COMMUNICATION.  If a consumer notifies a debt collector in writing that the consumer refuses to pay a debt or that the consumer wishes the debt collector to cease further communication with the consumer, the debt collector shall not communicate further with the consumer with respect to such debt, except --

(1) to advise the consumer that the debt collector's further efforts are being terminated;

(2) to notify the consumer that the debt collector or creditor may invoke specified remedies which are ordinarily invoked by such debt collector or creditor; or

(3) where applicable, to notify the consumer that the debt collector or creditor intends to invoke a specified remedy.

Was very rude. i told her she hade the wrong number and she hung up on me.

They called me 2 times today asking for Kelly.  Wrong #.  I told them that the 1st time and they called again in less than an hour.

I received a call from this number a few days ago. Based on other comments on this site, it appears to be some kind of collection agency. The only outstanding bill I have right now is from my local hospital, and I had already spoken with someone in the hospital's business office before this call came through. I have received only one statement so far; no final notices or anything else to warrant a collection agency call this early. I seem to keep getting calls like this almost immediately after I have a medical bill I need to resolve. Some people out there sure know how to find pending medical bills to prey on people.

I have had several calls from this number and they leave a file number to respond to and call them back at(866) 822-5048.  This number belongs to HDRM, 79 Metro Way, Seacacus, NJ 07094.  If you do not want any more calls send them a letter that they are no longer allowed to call your number, your friends or your family and that all correspondence must be by the United States Postal Service.  If they continue to call you can report them to the District Attorney.  Make sure you send your letter by certified mail, return receipt so you have the exact day they received your notice.

I have been receiving recordings with a reference # and a different phone # to call back to from this number for 2 years looking for a person I have never heard of but apparantly owes a cell phone bill because I have also received mail for this person which I have "returned to sender". I have requested several times to be taken off the list, I've had my same # going on 20 years and that if they truly want their money they need to look somewhere else because I won't be paying someone elses debt. It makes one wonder how the agency stays in business, if they don't recognize they are barking up the wrong tree. The person they are looking for has same last name and first initial as me but nothing else in common. I'm assuming their info came from phone book listing.

These people are calling the salon that I rent space at.  It's never been listed on any of my business records.  I don't think that the business owner has any outstanding debts either as he is very on top of his game.

I guess I'll have to get the address and write to these people to get them to cease communication.
