- rg| 1 replycalled my sister claiming to be with a (uninteligible) delivery service. Sis gave the oriental sounding woman my cell #. She then called me and asked when I was home because they had a package they wanted to deliver. I told her to leave it on the porch...but she had my address wrong...right number, wrong block. I asked who the sender was she said it was from California...when I asked her to clarify that she began to spell c-a-l-i...Very poor english and very suspicious as the call came to me at 6:53 AM. I've ordered nothing and nobody I know of is due to send me anything. Where she got sis's # in connection to my name is a major mystery.

- carrie| 2 repliesOn this date, 2-5-08, I got a call from 1-866-844-5753 claiming to be a delivery service and they had a parcel for me from Dr Sidney Tobias in this area. I do not know him..I called his office. they did not send it. Even wierder is that they had my mailboxes etc address, which is not my home address and my home number, which is unlisted.. they want to deliver a parcel to me and wanted to know whether I could be home between two and three p.m. I tried to call back the number and it took no incoming calls. very suspicious...

- Monster.com replies to carrie| 1 replyMonster.com was hacked back in August of 07, 1.6 million resumes were jacked along with other personal information. Can anybody tell me if you had a resume posted on Monster?
- rgNegative on the Monster connection. It would appear from the combination of info they had that it came from a doctor or hospital or a bill collector related to the same. I tried calling the # back and it goes to a voicemail box which is full.

- JWRRLRTHEY DELIVER THINGS TO PEOPLE AND THEN SEND THEM A BILL. THEY CALLED MY OFFICE TO VERIFY AN EMPLOYEES EMPLOYED. THEN 2 DAYS LATER A PACKAGE ARRIVED , CLAIMING TO HAVE BEEN ORDERED BY THIS EMPLOYEE. THIS EMPLOYEE HAS NEVER STEP FOOT IN THIS OFFICE. HE WORKS IN ANOTHER CITY - SAME COMPANY. WE ACCEPTED THE PACKAGE --- BIG MISTAKE --- AND OF COURSE THIS WAS A SCAM. THEY SENT THE COMPANY A BILL. WE SENT THE PACKAGE BACK , HAD TO PAY FOR SHIPPING AND SHIPPING INSURANCE AND BOTHER WITH GOING TO THE POST OFFICE. BIG LESSON I LEARNED HERE: IF ANYONE CALLS WITH ANY REASON TO GET ANY INFORMATION.. THEY MUST DISCLOSE THEIR CREDENTIALS.. ( NAME, COMPANY, PHONE NUMBER ETC) ONCE I VERIFY THAT THEY ARE LEGITIMATE I WILL CALL THEM BACK WITH THE INFO WHICH THEY REQUESTED. THIS VERIFYING ONLY TAKES A MINUTE... USE THE INTERNET JUST LIKE I FOUND THIS SITE BY PUTTING IN THE PHONE # IN GOOGLE !

- PatriciaA lady contacted me this morning(2-23-08)and said she was from JCPenny and had a package that needed to be delivered to me. The first problem was that she used my maiden name and then wouldn't tell me who the package was from. The only information she would tell me is that it had $51 in insurance, shipping cost paid was $9.45, and that the box weighed 4lbs. She asked me if she could deliver the package at 8:30am on 2-25-08 and I said no. When I asked again who was the sender she hung up the phone. It really bothered me because she knows all my information except used my maiden name instead of my married name. That is why I searched the number.

- Dan Whitaker| 1 replyI have lived in Arizona for most of the last 40 years. I have a brother who lived in Arizona some time ago, for about two years, and then moved back to live in Illinois. His estranged wife now lives in Missouri.
My brother recently left a voice message on my phone that said that he had heard from the "Postal Service" that they had been unsuccessfully tryin to deliver a "highly insured" package to me. Puzzled, I called him. He said that, in fact, it was his estranged wife in Missouri who had been first contacted and had been asked to contact him and tell him to contact me and have me contact them to arrange a time they could deliver this package. He had said before that they had said that the package was "from someone like 'Ruth' or 'Something' like that." Ruth is the name of my ex-wife whom I divorced about 13 years ago. I called the main U.S.P.S. number as well as my local post office and even spoke wih my mail delivery person who checked and said I had no deliveries pending. I then called UPS and FEDEX... with the same rsult... "No packages awaiting delivery..." Growing more and more curious,I then called my brother and spoke with him again. He treated me very rudely, as though I was just refusing to take his word for this. He called and left a message two days later and told me very curtly and rudely that the number I needed to call was 1-866-844-5753. And so I did... and have... MORE than MANY times during the last two days. And I ALWAYS get this same message "That mailbox is full and can not accept any new messages." "Please try again at a later time." So I gess I've been scammed. But I'm at a loss to figure out why and also how they found any connection to my brother and even more so to his estranged wife to have them relay a message to me about a package awaiting delivery. Mostly, I'm pissed off for the fact that they have cost me the friendship of my dear brother! So is there ANYONE who has ANY clue as to who owns that number of 1-866-844-5753 and what their motives might be?
Dan Whitaker - Ethan replies to Dan Whitakerno idea dude. but i made me pretty nervous. these people knew my birthday, my roommates cell phone, all kinds of stuff. i logged a complaint with the BBB, i suggest you do the same so that they can investigate!
- Dave| 3 repliesThis number has called many times. The first time my wife answered, told them that the person they were looking for (her mother) didn't live here and the call ended. This morning they called again, asking for the same person. I asked what it was regarding and they were from "Benton Delivery Service" and had a package that they were trying to deliver and our phone number was on the weigh bill. Luckily, I found this site in between the first and second calls. I believe this is a scam and I've contacted the FCC, I'd suggest others do the same as well. I linked to this page in my FCC complaint.
- dannoThis is Dan Whitaker with an update. My best friend got really torqued about this. He has begun calling that number every few seconds, getting the message that the nmailbox is cfull, etc. etc. tghen immediately c alling the number again. He does it all the time during TV commercials and At times he will do it for over an hour! Says he'll tie up their line and make it impossible for them to getg any incoming messages from other victims. I'm not... I mean HE'S not sure whether this is having the desired effect or not but I... I mean HE... continues to do it everfy day and night, every spare moment he gets. Sometimes while watching a TV program. "That mailbox is full and..." hang up, redial... "connecting" "That mailbox is... hang up and do it again... FOREVER! and EVER... for HOURS and HOURS, DAY AND NIGHT! I... I mean HE seems obsessed with it. Matter of faxct, I'm... I mean HE'S about to get on the phone right now and do it some more! Do you believe that? Guy sometimes stays awake tgoo latge just poking that danged keyboard... over and over and ov...

- TinaJust received a call from this number. Said they were an employment agency and had been given my name by my former employer who is going out of business. I haven't worked for that company in nearly 15 years. They called my unlisted number which is different than I had when I worked for the "referring" company. The woman had an Asian accent. I told her to send me an email and hung up. Less than 10 minutes later the same number called my cell phone, and hung up when I answered.
- TerriI received a call from this number. His name is Travis and they said they are Nationwide Courier Service and have a package to deliver. The call back number is 866-735-3769. I called back to find out what this is about and it goes to voicemail. They called my sisters house and my mothers but not my phone. I have no idea how they got their information. I did have a resume on Monster that was posted in 2005, I don't know if that is connected.

- T| 1 replyRecieved over 10 phone calls from this number, when I finally answered they claimed to be from United Job Placement. Her name was Jenny and she said a past employer had refered me to them and she had a job for me. She used my maiden name. I told her there wasn't anyone here by that name and not to call this number again. I called my previous employer who said they did not give out any names/numbers. I cannot recall if I used Monster a few years ago. I reported them to the FCC. She did give me a call back number if anyone wants to call them and harras them. It's 866-823-2485-Jenny's extension is 537.
