yeah they were calling me too. They would always hang up when I answered. Ended up they were a collection agency on an old bank account that I was no longer using. When I moved they continued sending statements saying my balance was like $2.00 or something. I was never worried about it because I knew I wasn't using the account. Once my mail forward expired at the post office the statement went to my old house and it was returned to the bank saying I no longer lived at that address. The bank then charged me $5.00 for a returned statement which sent my account into overddraft. For 30 days they charged me a $13.00 fee. Then the collection company finally started calling from this number and hanging up I called them back. It ended up costing me $450 to get it resolved. My bank says if they would have even looked at it they would have waived the fees but since they don't look at debt before they sell it to collections they were sorry but couldn't do anything. The moral of the story is... if you know you didn't write a bad check don't pay the credit off. Let them take you to court. Had I done that I wouldn't be out $400 for something I didn't do.  By the way... they are very rude when they call. Of course to them everyone is guilty and no good. It feels terrible to be treated the way they treat people and when it comes down to it.. they don't know the whole story so who are they to judge who is at fault and who's story is true/false.

They called and spoke to my son asking for me. They wanted my cell phone which my son thankfully didn't give to them.  This outfit is related to a sleeze ball attorney D. Scott Carruthers and Associates out of Cali.  They are trying to collect on a US Bank debt that I don't have as I have never had an account with US Bank.  The callers are persistent and won't believe you when you tell them they have the wrong person.
