Just got a call from this number. Called the number back - automated message stated it is Ally Financial  but I don't have any Ally Financial accnt so I hung up.

This is a bill collector who is calling anyone who has or had ties to a person who defaulted on a loan.

Allied Financial

Possible scam. I have accounts with Ally. I called the number back, but became suspicious and hung up and called a number from Ally's web site. They confirmed that both of my loans are in good standing and that this number is not in their directory.

received a call asked me to call them back. They wanted the account number or SSN of my recently deceased son. I called back but they couldnt do anything without that information. I said I didnt know it and hung up.
