They call at least twice a day.  This morning they left a "message" (as they did only one time before) - a lot of background noise and muffled voice - could not understand anything he said - may have been speaking in a foreign language.  I keep the bell on my phone "OFF" because I received so many of these scam calls and I just check it in the evening to see if any legitimate calls have come in.   Shouldn't have to do that but at least I don't have to listen to the phone ringing constantly for these unwanted calls.  Telemarketing should not be allowed - it is the ultimate invasion of privacy - if you want my business send something in the mail and I will decide if I want to do business with you or not - then I will call you.  As a business you expect and welcome calls - but when you call us - you are forcing your way into our homes unexpected and unwelcome no different than a criminal breaking in.

Just got a call from this number, don't know who it is, but I don't answer unknown callers. I'm really sure it's telemarketing and a scam.

If you sign up to the National DoNotCall Registry, it will stop 99.9% of telemarketer calls. The remainder are likely scammers, so any guerilla tactics you take are justified. Whatever flavor of scum it is, my goal is to keep them on the line as long as possible and waste as much of their time as I can.  I call it a special victory if I get in a mention of the NDNCR before they hang up. GREAT FUN, and likely the only thing that will ultimately make them go away...

Hard to understand the guy, Some kind of solar energy thing, Offered to give me a home energy evaluation that only takes 30 seconds. Very polite but very hard to understand.

The best way I've found to, uh, "fix" this problem of scum/scammers disregarding the National DoNotCall Registry is to waste their time. When these folks called, I agreed that I was interested in a solar electric system. that there were no trees blocking my house, and that my credit score was above 680 (!). They had my correct address, but the wrong electric company supplier - I agreed it was correct, anyway. The caller said that solar contractors would contact me. Still waiting, but when they do I'll string them along as long as possible, feeding bogus info when asked, maybe even set up an appointment. At some point I'll let them know that they are being punked for using a Sales Aggregator (the 866-860-5757 caller) who is violating the NDNCR by making random calls. If you REALLY want this crap to stop, it's gonna take a little work, but they have no defense against this tactic and I don't know anything else that ultimately will be as effective. Just received a call from 866-860-5757.....ARG MATY!!! Another SPAMMER WALKS THE PLANK WITH RUSTY CHAIN ATTACHED TO CONCRETE BLOCKS....another SPAMMER to feed the fish!!!!

Not on my phone list...call leave no voice message = SPAMMER =BLOCKED!!!!

The look on their eyes when you meet on your driveway and ask them for their written do not call policy is Mastercard Moment Hall of Fame. But first, be sure to get their business card, contract, and brochure, as well as their license place #, so 800notes readers and the FTC know who used a certain telephone number.

I did not answer--it went to our answering service--I see the first complaint about this caller is Dec. 2013. How can this scum/scam still be in business. I let the call go to our answering service, since it only showed an 800#. They said this call was in response to our call and interest in their product--LIE. They asked for a lot of personal information  -- then put on hold "for the next person able to help" And began playing some elevator music which went on and on. I finally picked up the phone and hung up. It would probably still be playing! Glad it wasn't my cell phone. The DNC is absolutely no good--wish I had never registered our phones. I wish someone would instigate a lawsuit against this company. (Our pastor's son work 1 hr for one of these-was given DNC list to use. viable #'s.

Started calling and now it’s 2-3 times a day. I said no to solar once. I’m on the DNC list but it doesn’t seem to mattter. I don’t answer, they don’t leave a message. I’m blocking them now.

This number, 866-860-5757, with CID=Total Energy Sav, has called 10 x in 6 days.  Has been blocked since first call on 06/06/18, when I saw >40 posts on this site. They are a royal pain, often calling before 9 am.  Reported to the FCC, but doubt it will stop this kind of telemarketing.  Stiff fines are not enough.  They need to be arrested!
