At this time I am not home and studying out of the city but my mom has informed me that everyday between the times of 6 and 7 PM she receives calls asking to speak with me.  My sister has checked the called id and the only number that appears around that time period is this one. I would like to know who is calling from this number and what kind of problem they have with me, since that was exactly what they told my mom.

I had the same thing happen to me.  They were calling my cell phone at about that same time.  It is jackson Hewwitt Tax Service.

called me too today at about 1:35 pm on my home phone. I didn't pick up so they hung up and did not leave a message.

Jackson Hewitt, calling about a credit card that you can put your tax return on.

Yeah it is getting really annoying. The [***] called me during school and if my phone volume was on I would have gotten in trouble.

IT IS A CALL CAMPAIGN FROM JACKSON HEWITT INFORMING PRIOR CUSTOMERS OF THE HOLIDAY LOAN PROGRAM THEY ARE HAVING NOW THROUGH DEC. 8 WHERE THEY GIVE YOU AN ESTIMATE OF WHAT YOUR TAX REFUND WILL BE AND THEN IF APPROVED, YOU CAN QUALIFY FOR A LOAN OF $300 OR $500 WHICH THEY GIVE YOU ON A PREPAID VISA CARD.

they called me today jan 1st. did not leave a message.

They call and when answer they hang up. Daily. Three times a day.

keeps calling leaves no message. Don't know who it is and I wont answer. believe it to be solicitor.

The federal Telephone Consumer Protecting Act specifically forbids telemarketing calls to cellphones unless otherwise authorized by the cellphone owner.  It's as simple as that.

called me yesterday and today around 230pm pacific standard time. which means 430 west coast and 730 east.. i'm not sure what they want, but they never leave messges. this is the second unknown number that's been calling me and not leaving messages in the past 2 weeks.

This caller was Magic Johnson reminding me about tax season with Jackson Hewitt services.  It is a recording and if you listen for a minute there is an option to press a number and have your number removed from their calling list.

I receive calls nearly daily on my home phone from an unknown company at 866-860-5923. They just call several times a day and don't leave any message so it's probably a wrong number. This is annoying. How can I block this number?

I just found out that the number is actually from jackson Hewitt. a reminder to use them to do taxes this year.

It is Jackson Hewitt and they are calling previous customers. You at one point in time went to Jackson Hewitt to get your taxes done. You left them a contact number so they could contact you when your refund was ready. They are calling the numbers they have on file. It is not a sales call. They are calling to remind you to come back to them to do your taxes.
On the other hand, Someone owned your phone number at one point before you did. They may have had that phone number at the time they did their taxes and then their number may have been disconnected and then a few months later, you owned it. The number is still the same number they have on file it's just the owner changed. Don't be mad. They're just doing their job. Don't like it, get on the Do Not Call Registry or change your number. Sorry.
