Voice message said to call back 866 860-6307, although 866 789-8292 showed up on caller ID to give more info on my SPRINT bill, etc.  I DON'T use Sprint, and I do not have a bill.

I called SPRINT, and neither of these numbers tracks back to the legitimate SPRINT company................TOTALLY SPAM/ILLEGAL!

These people are a joke!  The verifying department for sprint goes on a 3 way call with some other department called their credit department. Their credit department starts pulling up public records,,, asks you about people in your family, any addresses related to your family and I did not allow it to go past that point I stopped the conversation. They refused to give me credit with Sprint because I refused to answer absurd questions..
They are acting like some Government Agent trying to pry into peoples personal lives,,,

I told him he was a clown! And not some Governed Agent....

LOL What a joke!!!!!!!!!!! Waste of my time and energy.   Refuse me credit because I am not allowing them to pry and start asking questions about family members.....

    I was asked to call 3 different numbers  18668606307  18668667509  18006396116
When asked what departments they were he would not answer.
Their worried about fraud, when they are fraudulent themselves....

I do NOT need a phone that bad through them,,LOL can go to cricket and supply them with no personal information to open an account and pay only 35 unlimited everything a month...

it's SPRINT. Whenever you place an order online with them, requesting to start a contract, and they can't verify your info they will attempt to contact you 3 times. The # they use is not the one that you get on your phone screen because they use a computer call system (Avaya) like all the call centers around the world. The number they leave in your voice mail is the # you should call. you can also check your order status by accessing Sprint.com/myorder and after you type your order # you will get the same message : that additional info is needed and you have to call 866-860-6307 - after they leave you a voice mail they will also send you a email- this department is called Pending Que.  If it's a fraud related concern, they are obligated by law to arrange a three way call with the Credit department in order to verify your identity.  They will pull up your public records and they will ask you 3 question, if you get 1 wrong the 4th question will be added. It's like A, B, C, D type of an answer. The option D: "Non of the above" is rarely the right answer. if you fail on maximum of 2 questions you get declined for service  and 60 days you will be band from applying. If you get the answers correct credit team will "run your credit" and based on your credit history you get a credit decision.

yes, it IS sprint.  they called, i answered but left it on speaker waiting for them to say something because i hate when someone calls on auto-dial, then makes YOU wait for them to answer.  they called again… i answered and left it on speaker again waiting for them to say something… there's someone going hello hello hello… finally i actually answer back.  they say they are sprint -- and i wait for them to keep talking to they can actually confirm it, which they were able to do  i didn't give them any info, if they are calling me about my account, then they should know why they are calling!

my issue was simply, there's a AAA discount of 10% on sprint.  BUT it does not apply to business / small business lines.  it only applies to personal lines.  i have a business line, and when i called in to see about the discount they told me i would have to switch to a personal / family account for this particular discount.

sprint was now calling me back, to initiate the change if i wanted to make it.  (requires whole new application and credit check, even if you are an existing customer…).

so, YES IT IS SPRINT!  it is their customer service / support center to follow through on account changes…..!

lol people stop freaking. This was the number for the "Pending Queue" department I worked for with Sprint. It's a tiny part of the "Order Support" department.

When online orders don't go straight through to shipment either for identity verification, credit card/shipping address mismatch, or unfortunately you just live in a high fraud area of America, the order stops and needs validation of some kind.

Some people don't update their phone numbers on their credit reports so sometimes wrong numbers are called. Sometimes people are purposely putting in wrong info. People get featured everyday. From the deceased to the 3 month old babies, I've attempted to call "men" before only to be cursed out by a mother asking why I wanted to talk to her baby.

Trying to activate an old phone with new service also raises huge flags, and requires contact with the individual.

The credit department we would conference with are not "government employees" it's our credit department. Simply that. When the online order is submitted by the customer it checks credit. And yes it does day that that is going to happen  If nothing holds it up, congrats!! You'll have your new phone soon. If something is wrong you might need to verify identity before we can release the results of our credit check and get your account set up.

If you didn't submit the order, call and we can transfer to the fraud department and you can get the check removed from your credit report.

Sprint is really not "out to get people" Calm down.
