also says that if I call within 72 hours I will receive a "300.00 walmart merchandise rebate certificate"

call and it was a prompt saying they had "high demand" and was put on hold.

Just hung up after that and researched the number online, that it was interesting that nothing pulls up, ie no company name ect...

Received a flier offering $300 Walmart Merchandise Rebate Certificate (whatever that is) and two airline tickets.  Looks suspicious - am putting in trash.

If you read the fine print on the back it says that the promotion is provided by Certs Inc. whoever the hell that is. And it states that they are in no way affiliated with walmart even though they slather their logo all over the ad.

I didn't call as anyone who mails me unwanted mail and misrepresents themselves isn't worthy of my time.

I did not receive a call but rather a mailer stating (as above) that I was to receive round trip tickets AND $300 in merchandise rebates by calling the number.  I've posted mailer here:

This is clearly a scam.  I recently added my contact information to several yellow-pages databases, which must be where they found my address.

Not sure how this company or entity found my mailing address (its not listed in any public directory) but I also received in the mail an offer for 2 free tickets and $300.00 certificate from Walmart. I noticed that while the letter has Walmart listed all over it, the official Walmart logo or slogan is not used in the letter so I presume its a scam.

My husband and I checked out the offer.  It was for Southwest Travel Club.  Although the travel club may be of interest to some, it wasn't for us.

As to the $300 certificate from Walmart - the terms and conditions were so complicated we tossed it.  You have to register, of course, and choose 1 store, such as Walmart, Target, Sears, Kmart, and others, where you will spend $100 a month.  You save your receipts, report tham online and then mail the originals in and in about a month you get a $20 gift card back.  This goes on for 15 months.  It can not be used for food.  Who spends $100 a month at one store?  Not me.  What a crock!


Don't know for sure if the airline tickets will work.  But it requires $50 nonrefundable deposit per ticket.  It may be okay.  But watch those conditions.  This is through Premier Choice Rewards.

I know why they want you to pay for the Travel Club right away - same day.  Because if you do some research you will really question it all.  We did some Googling last night.  We found several sites with the exact same wording in it but with different company names. Same policies and offers.

And the same for the airline ticket company.  We found several with the same offers.  Only one that listed the possible destinations with "and many more"  But will they go to the destination I want?  I don't think I want to spend the money to find out.  There have been some complaints about getting that refund.


In my opinion, stay away from the Southwest Travel Club and any other clubs that charge basically $10,000 to join without giving you time to really think it over.  Unless you do a lot of travelling it isn't worth it.  It may be better than the TimeShare business but is it really?  

With this Club you get 8 one-week stays at the condos that haven't been sold out by Timeshare orgs.  Who has 8 weeks vacation each year?  When we said no to the price, the first thing they did was cut the price by $4000 and 4 one-week condo stays.  Not many of the working class get 4 weeks vacation a year either.  I read somewhere that they go even lower with the price if you keep hesitating.  If you do decide to go to one of their meetings and like what you hear, hold out as long as you can.  You may make it worth your while.

Hmm sounds like a scam to me,

Google came up with a womens association at the same address but it was different suite number  the address and name was Dream Vacation Giveway 9805 NE 116th Street Suite 7147 Kirkland WA 98054 the womens association was suite 7227 I believe probably same building or something.

Good luck if you get it pass it on, sounds to good to be true, so it probably is...

That is some really suspicious verb-age on the specifics of the deal (SCAM) Why would they be asking for money ($12.95) and taxes, Upfront? That's were you pay it up front and wave good bye to your money that is going on someone else's vacation I suspect :) Since when do you have to pay to get a rebate anywhere? And what in the heck is the rebate for?

Certain restrictions apply (This ones very vague, and can mean almost anything.)

The name "Dream Vacation Giveaway" indicates (Singular as in just One) Or someone unaware that is learning English as second language. (SCAM)

The postage was pre-printed Presorted First Class Mail U.S. Postage Paid West Palm Beach, FL Permit No. 3950 (West Palm Beach, FL but their address is Kirkland, WA Hmmm {SCAM} ) Probably Using someone elses permit to avoid postage mailing fee's too. (SCAM)

From what I read here, It has SCAM written all over, (Let the consumer BEWARE)

Advice, Run anything you are considering from the mail or Internet or otherwise through validity tests, be hesitant to reach for you wallet or purse until you've thoroughly checked out who your dealing with.

This Offer appears to be presented quite believably unless you receive it from a suspicious standpoint, then it has many areas promoting, caution and concern.
