This is a Rogers scam.  If you have Rogers bundle discount most likely you never agreed to a term limit.  They have now decided to have a time limit that way if you leave before the 2 years you have to pay them back the amount of the discount.  When I contacted them to say I never signed to a time limit they admitted this was new and now you have to.  Instead of being honest about the change in policy they are trying to just trick people into renewing and have made it easy to renew.  COMPLAIN to the CRTC.  Typical slimy Rogers. I have now changed some of by services, if I am not going to get a discount then I may as well go for whatever the best deal of the moment is and with competition they are always anxious to offer new customer deals.

I was surprised to receive a mail from Rogers about the requirement to renew my commitment in order to continue getting the bundle discount. Seems like Rogers has taken away what was given in exchange for long term commitment.

Coincidentally, my ISP Bell also approaches me to renew a contract which I never signed, in order to get less for the same price I have been paying :-)
Go figure.

The duopoly is playing out nicely in Bell and Rogers favour.
