This number keeps calling my mom and dad's house looking for me.  Won't give out their company name.  Not sure how they got their number- have been living on my own for 20 plus years and I have a completely different last name.  They say they are a debt collector

Phone number is Americollect, www.americollectpay.com, man said his name was tyler looking to collect a dept, message left on an answering machine. did not return the call.

Got a call from them too. A woman introduced herself as a "debt collector and this is an attempt to collect a debt". Said their website was www.Americollect.com 

Says they are a debt collector - Americollect - she is available by phone or web chat. Says that if this is  the wrong person to also call and let her know - but she didn't ask for a person, so I don't know who they are trying to contact. Number she calls from is a local number, but she says to call this toll free number back.

I got a message left on my phone from a local number stating that it was from a debt collector.  Left a call back number of 866-862-8289.  Don't know what this might be about.

We just got a cell phone and didn't give out this number to anyone but my spouse.  Funny how they call this number looking for debt without telling who this is for.  NOT falling for it.

They called today & just left a # no name or anything of who they were looking for. Put them on my block list. Called from a 719 area code, glad I missed it. I keep getting calls for someone else & I have had this phone almost 3 years!

I just got the exact call and message.

Received this same call from 503-837-6188 (Dallas, Oregon).  Her callback message request to me was 866-862-8289 or chat online.  I deleted the call and reported as spam.

Americollect - robo call.  Can't block number as its a different number (local 503) each time (they call about every month).  I ignore - I don't owe anyone anything - and if you're someone who does - check the law and what a true debt collector must say when they are calling,

A true debt collector must say very little until they are sure of who they are talking to.  However, there is a permanent solution to your problem, one that does not entail blocking every number that they call from.

Called twice with different local numbers and gave 866-862-8289 number. I owe no debt. Blocked the number, but not a permanent solution. Caller said their website was www.Americollect.com. Sick and tired of scammers.

Same as others have said, they never say who they want and won't stop calling.  BBB said they are a scam and there's even a warning before entering their website to look around, though there's not much there for information.
I'd like to see them, the silly Rachael with the business loan, the Tax one with growly voice where custody has been pressed and local cops are on their way, the Microsoft one that will erase my computer, and the rest of the scammers lined up on their way to prison.

Call my house and cell phones 2 or 3 times daily.   Message said to call back 866-862-8289 if they are calling the WRONG NUMBER??   They are DEFINITELY CALLING THE WRONG NUMBER.  HAS TO BE A SCAM!!!!!

called from what appears to be a spoofed number (as i have seen many reports with various "local" numbers reported on them) and gave this as a call back number... actual person, could not make out the name 100% but sounded like Kayleen or Kylie maybe?? Did not give a name just stated that it "was an attempt to collect a debt and any information etc."... OPINION: if they are calling to "collect a debt" they should have to say WHO they are trying to reach, they do say call if it is a wrong number but how would you know this unless they say who they are trying to reach??  EXPERIENCE: i have had my number for years and had a collector call me asking for someone that i never heard of, reported this and that i looked in a phone book (yes i have one) and had a number for the man and would give it to them and to remove my number... they refused and stated they would remove my number... for the next week, the calls INCREASED from this same company for the same guy would obviously had my number before the phone company recycled it, next call i took from them i threatened to get them for harassment and no calls since... guess that time they believed i wasn't that guy

I got the same bogus debt collector mentioned previously, with a callback of (866)862-8289.  I owe nothing.  I have received similar calls in the past from phony debt collectors.  Whatever you do DO NOT, repeat, DO NOT, call that 866 number, and do not answer any calls from them (assuming you have an answering machine an use it to screen your incoming calls).  If you do, they can claim that they have an ongoing relationship with you and you cannot take legal action against them for unwanted calls.  If calls persist, file a formal complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau at consumerfinance.gov   (855) 411-CFPB (2372)  That will work, I have done it.

This lady calls from Amerca Pay.Com name, Beth, ID 1972  trying to collect a debt I do not owe.  Left message on my answer machine.  I did not call her back at 866 862 8289.
