Some one need to track and shut these people down! This is a scam operation and they are breaking statefederal laws.

The bozos keep calling, sometimes 3 or 4 times a day.  There is never anyone on the line.  I called the number and placed my number on their "internal do not call list".  They claim it takes 3 to 5 business days for that to take effect.  3 to 5 days my ass, it should take 3 to 5 seconds.  3 to 5 days should be another 15 or 20 unwanted calls with no one on the other end of the line.  If there was ever somebody on the other end of the line that person would get an ear full.

I live in San Jose, CA.  They ahve called me 7 times in the past couple of hours.  Five of which were in the last half hour or so.  I picked up and just loudly stated "STOP F*CKING CALLING ME!" and I have not gotten another in about tne minutes... we'll see.

Calling all day long.  We asked several times for them to stop calling.  Then the calls started coming with no one on the other line.  The phone just kept ringing and ringing late into the night.  I have young kids in school.  I'm tired of it.

I get these calls every evening every 30 minutes or so.  They max out my answer machine...I'm trying to run a business.  The no call list doesn't work.  The callers are rude and politically oreinted to the left.  Whe  I try to be nice and ask them not to call they get abusive about my opinion bieng needed.  Even the process of the no call list includes a demeaning lecture about some body else making policy decisions becasue I won't give an opinion.

Now I just blow a police whistle into the phone.

At 9:30 pm tonight my phone rang.  The number is 866-869-1920.  It woke me up. I did not answer the caller.  I AM NOT HAPPY. FTC NEEDS TO SHUT THEM DOWN!

Pick up the phone and immediately hang up and they will give up calling you.

Called me on Sep 4.  Left no message.  Caller ID was "Unavailable".  I am on DNC list.

Next time they call again, just pick up the phone and immediately hang up and the call will stop.

market research... to gather your opinion... internal do not call list... put your number on it...

I have gotten more then 10 calls a day from this number over the last week. No voice message left and when I answer no one there. I hold on and wait. Busy signal.

Called very late at night. I disconnected my phone from the jack.

I have found the best way to stop calls no matter if you are on DNC lists are google the area code if its not toll free find out which state they are in and give a email to Attorney General in that state and put a complaint in, i have done this several times and the calls have stopped, cause i do keep record of all calls coming in

You have a couple of choices.  First - if you pick up the phone you start the phone war.  This has nothing to do with do not call lists.. It is a battle of wits..  You have to understand they the person calling is even more fustrated if you do not answer the call.  If you pick up the call you are logged into the "answered call" list. The calls wil keep coming and coming and coming.  If you don't pick up EVER..  The calls will eventually stop.

Another way to stop calls is to give the wrong number out to charities you donate to - they sell the phone lists.. Don't put your phone number on free drawings at local stores, and expecialy don't put your correct number on political donations or and internet websites.

Last thing - buy the Brighthouse Phone service - unlimited any where in all 50 states.. $29,95 a month - (plus the goverments 28% in taxes) and you also get a new service.. Unlimited call blocking.. You can block 100's of numbers and it tells the caller "The number you dialed does not accept calls from this number and it hangs up...  (No I don't work for Brighthouse)   This is worth the 29.95 a month any day and it eliminates all of your BS calls n about a month.

I'm on the "do not call" list...so why do these callers have access to my number

Called me every hour then every 10-20 minutes last night - when I answered, they just hung up I had to turn the phone off which I don't like to do because someone could be sick or in danger and you just don't know what's going on.  Did my research and this is apparently some outfit that does research.  There are laws against this and that's why I'm calling the CPUC and the FCC.

Called from this number and hung up immediately.  I'm blocking this number.  I am also on the do not call list.
