Got this unwanted phone call from 866-869-1920.

Got several times a call from "Unavailable 1" , Who is this person?

I like anything that is anti ALEC (American Legislative Exchange Council). It is an outfit whose mission is to help its members extract money out of the economy through the states legislative processes. Do an internet search for ALEC and go to the wikipedia or similar site.

I like anything that is on topic in this thread and not a political rant.

And also give the name and address of the business that is making these survey calls, because most people don't want these calls, even though you claim to like them.

Survey companies may be exempt from the federal law, but they're not exempt from MY law, which is: Will not cooperate. Whatever you want, you get the opposite from me. Go away.

Calls with no message... last night at 9:30PM

They call early morning before 9:00 a.m. and have called as late as 9:00 p.m.  Because of caller ID, I do not answer the phone because it says Beverly Hills and lists the phone number.  They sometimes call 3 or 4 times a day.  Very annoying.

just got a call from this number that I didn't answer.  Caller did not leave a message.  Thanks to all the folks who took time to detail their experiences, I am just going to block this number.

I didn't answer.  It disconnected when my outgoing message stopped.  Looks like I was right.  Why would any of you believe their promise to take you off their list, when they have the safety of anonymity and are protected by the lethargy and disinterest of our illustrious govt?  Most surveys are just introductions to a sales pitch.  The best, easiest thing to do is to not answer.  And as for the mother of small children, why don't you switch the ringer off and go to vibrate mode?  Wow...  Look at all the complaints...

Keep getting calls even after 9 in the evening. When answered no one there. Calls everyday. This is annoying. Don't know name of company. Name does not come up on caller ID.

I received a call from this no. @8:30PM. If I do not recognize the number or calling party, it is not answered. It is automatically blocked. Panasonic phone systems are wonderful. Calls like this are "telephone spam" and not worth my time

No one would speak on the other end...all I could hear was a cat meowing? That is pretty impressive that someone trained their cat to use the telephone. Would definitely come in handy in an emergency!
