No-accent US standard English male clearly saying "Your UPS account is past due." What? We don't have no UPS account!

I get a call from this number at least once a week stating I have a past due amount on our account.  We don't even have an account.

Recorded message supposedly from UPS, but not:  This is a reminder from UPS.  Our records indicate your account is past due.  Your account number is (xxxxxx).  If you have recently submitted payment, please disregard this message.  Please refer to your most recent invoice for the outstanding balance.  If you have any questions call 1-866-897-0069 ext. 9901 or email (xxxxxxx)@ups dot com.  Our crack finance person says, "SCAM!"

We got the same exact message at our business and that is NOT our account#. Total SCAM!

Called asking for our shipping department saying UPS is the caller. When confronted that the number is not associated with UPS, they said they are UPS. Smell that scam. Thank you to other people recording the scam phone call attempt by individuals at this number.

I have received several phone calls and emails regarding past due UPS account.  The problem is, they actually do have some truthful information about a shipment I made 8 months ago.  However, I paid in full when the item was shipped.  This has been going on for months now.

Voicemail said it was UPS and rambled off account numbers and mentioned random people by name that definitely don't work here. They aren't even calling AP. I'm pretty sure the laziness of the scam pisses me off as much as the annoying voicemail. Names mentioned: Kyle Wagner, and then Brian and Saul.

Received a hard to hear message from someone claiming to be calling from UPS regarding an overdue account. I don't have a UPS account.

They call about once a week, on my cell & business phone saying my name & business name & that I have a $1k+ balance due.  They give an account number that's not mine.  He says to call him back at 1-877-563-X815 (the X is there because I can't understand that number with his accent).  I called my local TForce Freight/UPS Freight, that I actually have an account with, and there is no such charge on my account or with their own collection agency.

I received a VM from someone who is clearly not a native English speaker. I could not understand the message at all except something about "UPS" and an outstanding debt of $4700 since July. I tried to call her back and actually got an answering service that is her voice. But the number she called from does not match the number she gave me to call back.

I think it could be legit debt collector. But...it could be that they got sold some fake past due accounts to try to collect on. Because the way debt collectors work is they buy out bad debts from banks at pennies to the dollars and try to get that money back. Technically it's legal to do that. My thought is these 'callers' bought what they thought were legit past due accounts. but...lol. got scammed in turn? lol

Course I could be wrong and these are really pure scammers. lol

I received multiple automated calls from the number so I called UPS because the account # they left on the voicemail wasn’t ours. I was instructed to send an email to fraud@ups.com with the call log info. I also included the email they left on the voicemail which sounded fraudulent. (pmc3qzy@ups.com) UPS confirmed this number and email are NOT FRAUDULENT and our accounts payable dept found an invoice from TForce Freight billed through UPS so this number is legitimate. It’s kind of like a third party freight billing so you may want to dig into it like I did.

I just received a call telling me that I owe them over $5000.00. I said no I do not and then she said it was on the temporary account you opened. I hung up on them.
