was receiving daily calls from 786-522-1000  that would jsut hang up.  eventually wife got a live person on the phone and the mumbled something about bookmaking and wanted to speak with me....

Yep, get the same call from actually 786-522-1040, and states to call-back 1866-901-6641

The company is Bookmaker @ bookmaker.com an online betting site. They are a pretty ligitimate business and usually only call if someone has signed up.  There is always a chance someone could be using your information to sign up on the site though!

Just got a call from these people, and it is indeed a bookmaking enterprise. I called the number and explained that I didn't get into the room in time to answer the phone (which was true). I wanted to know who they were and the guy said they are an online betting company based in Costa Rica, so I'm not sure they have to adhere to the federal do not call list or not. I told him that I'm on the federal list and they shouldn't be calling me and to put me on their do-not-call list. He was polite sounding in tone but kept trying to talk over me and ended up hanging up on me.

I too just received a call from this 866-901-6641 with funny sounding guy on a recording asking me to press one for my wager.  I kept listening for an opt out option, but it just hung up.  Thanks to this site, I found who the company was, bookmaker.com.  I called their customer service department and the representative sounded foreign with a slight accent -Jamacin?  I asked her to be put on the do not call list and told her I never signed up for this site.  She took my name, phone #, City/State/Zip and said it would go to their marketing department, she said they just "do this" and call random numbers! I hope my request works, as I am on federal & state DNC lists and I surely do not want to receive this calls all the time!  I hope this helps other people.

left a file number for me to refer to when I call back 866-901-6641. I am so fed up with telemarketers calling day and night!

They left message w/ file number to refer to and he referred to himself as my " case manager".... I don't have a case.  I don't gamble online or otherwise..... Will it never end ?

calling me again regarding my truepoker account.  after he mentioned where he was calling from i said not interested and hung up.
