- mlsgv2 replies to fedup| 1 replyIf You have received a call from 866-907-3908 it would be from fraud dept(falcon) at BB&T Financial. They would be calling you if you have a credit card with BB&T and they feel that there are some suspicious activity on your account. Such as transactions that seem to be outside of your regular spending activity, or if transactions are outside of the state you live in and there are no notes on your account advising that you are traveling; or if there is unusual internet transactions. Also if you want to verify the ph# you can always call the ph# on the back of your credit card and we can advise you that it is a legit phone call from BB&T
- customerIt's BB&T, a bank in the Carolinas. And it's either Fraud Alert or a draft problem.
- Caller: BB&T
- Ring Ring Go AwayConfirmed: BB&T (a bank that does not exist north of MD) calls you if you have made multiple charges in a single day (fraudulent protection) to make sure it wasn't stolen.
If you DON'T answer, you may find your credit card suddenly frozen while on your spending spree.- Caller: BB&T
- Call type: Event reminder
- lcs13This number called me and said they were with BB&T (my bank) and that there were fraudulent charges on my account. 866-907-3908. I never call them back at that number, and I called the number on the back of my card. They said that they had not contacted me that day and that it was a scam. They guy above that posted that this was legit, was not honest.
Never call your company back with the number given. Use the back of your card. Same with the internet,...never use their link. Type it in yourself. Be smart.- Caller: BB&T
- SyntaxErrorAnother confirmation of BB&T Fraud Alert. And they were, in fact, reporting confirmed fraudulent activity with my credit card number. Thanks, BB&T :)
- Caller: BB&T Fraud Department
- ToastosxIt is a security company for BBT. I still however thanked them, hung up and called the number on the back of my BBT card.
They are legite and what activated it was a payment to DROPBOX online. But Ics13 is correct, give out no info and call the number on the back of your credit card.- Caller: Bbt

- WgWReceived a call from (800)907-3908 stating that it was BB&T verifying that I had my card in my possession and that I had made a certain purchase today. I called the number on the back of my card and confirmed that BB&T had a record of this anti-fraud call.
- Caller: BB&T
- HalThe number belongs to BB&T external fraud dept. If you receive a call from this number, return the call to the number that is on the back of your card. Malware can and does mimic legit numbers. Just make sure it is BB&T fraud dept that is placing the call.
- MaggieJust got the call today. It IS from BB+T fraud department. .
I called the number on the back of my credit card and they told me that somebody in NYC put almost $3000 on my card last night. BBT called to confirm that it wasn't me and then froze the account.
CALL THE NUMBER ON THE BACK OF YOUR CREDIT CARD ASAP!- Caller: BBT Fraud Division
- debbie| 1 replyI also received a call from this number and be relieved I called the number on the back of my BBT credit card and it is indeed BBT. It is an independent fraud dept. If they see consecutive charges in the same day and some may be from stores you don't visit frequently they will block the card and call to protect you. So rest assured it's legit.
- Caller: BBT fraud dept.
- Designer replies to debbieI called the back of the card as well and it is BB&T.
- K & AWe received a call on 10/25/16 from Fraud Dept. for BB&T. We tried for hours to return the call to 866-907-3908, but could never get through. There was a continuous beeping signal every time we called which made us feel it was a scam; however, I checked out online banking and there was a charge on our BB&T Credit Card made in Canada, but thankfully the card declined it. Called my local bank the next day and was given a legitimate number to call to report this. CC was cancelled and new ones on the way. So, I'm not sure a beeping number would be any help in a fraud scan. Probably the scammer wanting to get more information about the card. Hmmmmmm!!
