    This is Drive Insurance?  If so, and they are calling about renewing my insurance and making a payment.... it's totally unnecessary! Already scheduled my payment and the renewal was done last month (when it was due).

    @ merlin10: I echo your post. 'Don't need them calling me either.  What's with these people anyway? Have they got totally and unnecessarily impatient and have to annoy us this way? Has their accounting/book keeping gotten so sloppy that they wind up omitting an entry and turn around and blame us? Go away 866-907-6858 (i.e., Drive/Progressive Insurance calls)! Leave us alone NOW!!!

    Update: Okay, these a**holes just called me again @ 5:05 PM!

    This bs needs to stop.

    For one, after I last posted here I went to my online bank account and checked my statement... sure enough, on 1/6 (last month) there was my payment posted as a debit on my account for Progressive West/Drive Insurance for my policy renewal, and today the current payment this month! That happen's to be proof these idiots are either attempting a scam themselves or they are moron's when it comes to accounting and billing! Hey, Progressive... get a clue! You got my renewal payment PLUS this months payment!!!! Quite with the harassment or I will have to report this load of bull to the FTC or whoever may just take effective action!!! In other words... STOP your calls and quite harassing everyone!!! If you refuse then ... DROP DEAD!!!!

    Got a call from this number, apparently because the person who previously had my cel phone number also had a policy with Drive. I called the number back, pressed 2 to talk to an agent, told them about the call. They looked up the phone number, found the policy info held by another person and deleted my cel number from that policyholder's info.

    I have been with Progressive for 10 years now and these automated calls to remind you to make a payment or renew are ridiculous. I just started getting them this past year. Mind you I never missed a payment and ALWAYS pay the policy early every month. I had stopped the autopay a few years ago because they were no consistent with taking the money out on the same day. I called to today after receiving 6 calls in the matter of 2 hours. Mind you it was only 9:10 am after I got the last call. I called customer service to get opted out and had to go through the BS process to identify myself; number, name, date of birth, policy number over 5 times. I was finally feed up and asked to speak to a supervisor who asked me a 6th time, I completely lost it on that lady after she told that my policy needs to be renewed and that's why I am being called to avoid a lapse in coverage. I told her in about 5 days I will not be renewing my f*cking policy and there won't be any date of birth to identify no policy all I want is my number taken off the stupid automated list. She was giving me attitude after I had to speak to 3 different people. No ma'am, I don't think I will be renewing my policy just based on that b*tch. Customer service my *ss, you would think a customer that has been you for 10 years would be treated better. Even more, what if I didn't have a policy and I was receiving these calls do you honestly think I would get insurance with you after that???? Seriously, they made a simple process so damn difficult.
