I keep getting calls with the name "MAB".  It leaves a message that says something like "This is the office of Scott Windsor, Please return a call to 866-446-5259. When I call, they won't give me any information about why they are calling until I give them my phone number.  I wouldn't give it to her, so she was snotty and said "then you will keep getting calls" and hung up.

I received a call from 866-929-8261 asking for my daughter when I asked who it was the guy said who are you and got real obnoxious and said he will keep calling till he gets her and then hung up on me

I keep getting calls from these people. They keep asking for the same person who I have never heard of and they obviously have the wrong number. I have told them 3 times now they have the wrong number. One woman asked if I knew the person!  But they keep calling back. This time they left a message saying it has to do with a debt to Lillian Video and left a name and number to call back. They are calling on my cell number which I have had for 2 years now and maybe it was this other persons number before. I can't get them to stop calling, so now I just ignore the calls. So irritating!!!

They leave messages on my home answering machine and on my husband's phone at work asking for someone (the name is sort of like ours, but not exactly) to call Ms. Kazz at this number.  We've gotten a dozen calls at least, between the two phones.  We ignore the calls.  Funny thing is, we have no outstanding debts.

Recieved a , message when I got home from work couple days ago now , phone number showed 866-929-8261, woman left a message saying her name was LInda Zella???  told me they had a claim againest me ??, I had to file Chapter 7, 14 years ago,,  was so hard on me
i m now amost 66 yrs old I have worked very hard to rebuild not only my credit,due to my ex that put me in bankruptcy  I just bought a home last year,and now this!! is starting! 14 years later,and its way beyond the statue of limitations in the state I live in , but...............I have read, old debts are sold and people do this to make pennies on the dollar. , This is  scary, !! for I have also had 3 attempts on identity theft, and calls have begun since then,  never had any regarding anything till  that happebed
this gal( Linda or how ever she spells her name? told me it was to my benefit to call her at this number, which ended up to be 877-230-8371 ext 8570.was NOT the number that showed on my caller ID tried finding both!! she hasnt called again? or yet, ? thanks everyone!! for posting your notes. everytime some 800  number appears Im checking it out, finding soo many reported calls on numbers Im now recieving,! either land lines, or numbers unavailable which means they have blocked them,  you cant find who is calling you.andI have  a unlisted number!  mother lives with me, shes going on 93, im now having to have her write down every 800 number that come while Im at work,and worries me she has to do this  for me while im at work  . thanks for posting your comments ! your not alone, something sure needs to be done !

Yes, the people are very nasty, but they can't collect on anything because they bought a debt.  From experience, if they just happen to call when you are home, pick up the phone, count to 3 and hang up; eventually the will stop.  They are harrassing pros; they even call relatives.  They ARE illegal, otherwise, why won't they write you a letter if they know who they're calling.  Just don't answer; you've nothing to be afraid of and just don't give them any money because you don't owe them.  Remember phone calling is illegal because there is no paper trail, and how do you know who this is when the telephone numbers don't even match.  Don't worry about them and ignore them.  They can't do a thing to you.

If the privacy act is so great, the how are they contacting someone whose # you would haver NEVER put on a form anywhere for any reason......hmm, somehow they are getting into your telephone records.

Anyway, these folks are ruthless by telling people that they are going to sue or repossess property.  Those are just threats.  They know that they are illegal; that's why they attempt to go under the table to harrass vulnerable citizens.  According to the best news regarding finances, once the debt is written off or one has filed bankruptcy, they bougth for dollars those debts.  These types of bill collectors are bottom feeders and you don't have to even entertain their threats.

These people call everyday asking for my son via recorded message, do not say anything if I answer, and cannot get anyone on the phone if you call back.
My son has no debts so I dont know what this is about.

They called me up and I have no ideal who they are. They sound like con artist. They would not give me they're name.

Did it work? I told them 2 years I ago this is a business number and I have no idea who they are looking for but they still call 4 or more times a week.

These people have called me 4 times a week for years now.  They keep leaving a message for 'Scott Adell' (my spelling might be wrong.) My name is NOT Scott or 'Adell' or Audel or whatever. I have had same phone number for 28 years, and no one named Scott has ever lived with me, used my phone, etc !  If I could find out who was truly behind these calls I would really 'Do unto others'.  I am seriously pissed off that there is no way to stop them.  If any of the worthless state or national politicians ran on a platform of solving problems such as this, I would vote for them. At least when sales people go door to door, you can see them, take their picture, and know (or find out) who they are and ask them NOT to bother you.

They called my parent's house looking for me.  Told them i have a warrant out for my arrest to find out where i am.

Just got a call from them on my cell phone.  They were asking for someone I've never heard of.  Call blocked them.  I've had this cell number for 8 years.  If they do call back, I will let them have it.  I'm sick of these idiots.
