I got a call from someone claiming to be from Social security, and accidentally gave them my social security number. What should I do?

I just got a call from this number saying my Social Security had some suspicious activity. Then the call disconnected.

This caller tried to act like ss and then when I didnt give them my info they started to get very foul mouthed... cussing and then talking inappropriate. Hope they get caught soon!

A robocall from UN-known  - social security scam - They keep calling using a different new number after being told to remove my number from their call list and blocked.

A recording told me that my social Security check would be suspended due to suspicious movements, and if I wanted more information I would press the number 1and I did, immediately a man with an Indian accent answered me asking me questions which I thought was suspicious and I did not give my information, I hung up

Received and automated call stating that I had some illegal stuff  attached to my Social Security number the man said his name was Kevin and he was with the Social Security administration he said there were three governments departments that were receiving the recorded call and that I should be assured that giving my Social Security number was the only way to access my file however he did know my full name and he did know my full address and he obviously knew my phone number so this made me very nervous I told him I would not be giving him my number regardless of what he said was a secure line I told him that in the state of the world today there’s no way for me to confirm that he is telling the truth and that he’s not lying to me therefore I told him that I wanted to speak with a supervisor he said there was no supervisor available and that I would have to deal with him he started shouting at me and I asked him why are you shouting at me and he said because I need  your Social Security number in order for me to process and give you this information he told me you are doing why are you doing this illegal activity with your Social Security number and I said I am not and he said are you sure this gave me the hint that this is definitely not for sure anyhow after that I was certain that I was not going to give him any information and I told him that I would be taking his name and number and I would call the listed number for the Social Security administration.  This being Kevin who had an Indian accent and his phone was severely breaking up as though he had no quality or not good service was telling me that I was doing illegal activity with my Social Security number and I said there’s no way that that’s happening because I don’t use my Social Security number for anything he said well your credit cards and your bank cards are being used illegally and I said well that’s not true because I have zero credit cards and I don’t even have a bank account I deal strictly with cash and he said OK let me check on that after he stayed quiet for a few minutes he asked me again for my Social Security number to confirm whether not I was telling the truth at this point I decided that I would just tell him goodbye and I hung up about seven seconds later he called me back   I denied the phone call and I haven’t heard back

The automated voice claimed to be from Social Security and they were suspending my SS #. When called back it claimed to be the Harlingen SS office. I hung up!

Called said my soc.sec. # had suspisious activity, did press 1 or 2 Indian man answered began to talk. I immediately hung up and goggle first soc.sec. harliger office and it was a site claiming to be soc.sec. then I goggle the number 1(866)931-7075, and found you guys talking bout this scam. Thanks to EVERYONE...that "reported this horrible scam" That's trying and still trying as of Today 5/22/2019 to destroy innocent people lives here in America. 💯

Do not answer this number They pretend to be social Security to obtain your information. Social Security will tell you not answer calls like this . It is a scam I answered only once and sounded like a person with an Indian accent . I told him I just reported him to the Federal Gov and to stop calling . He started to say something ,I just hung up

SS Scam.... Please Beware and whatever you do, do not give them any Information. Everyday this week I have received a call such as the rest of these people. Unfortunately, as I blocked them the first day, they started calling under a restricted # so I could not see it. I asked the Indian speaking guy for his number and so be it, the same one.  Interesting enough they are stating the SS Admin from different states, one is from Texas, Maryland and so forth.  I'm not sure who to report this to? But I did see the similar situation on Dr. Phil ironically enough.  It is scary ...these are people in international countries that have obtained our information somehow.  Please beware, any concurrence whether your name, phone number to SS# will leave you in years of reclaiming your identity.

Fake! If someone says there is a problem with anything that links to your info being secure look up the publicly listed phone # & call it instead of releasing info to whoever called you. A caller may even have faked their # on caller ID to appear to be legit. Don't trust it.

Got the call pressed ask my name told em when asked abt ss number told them im not sure i wanna give u that info they hung up
