- Jim replies to IrritatedThey called twice today but left no message
- BillyThey called me as well stating they were Verizon and could save me a substantial amount of money on my business voice and data lines... I even faxed them a recent bill. Upon trying to follow up their line is busy... The callers name was Cosmo...
- Caller: Verizon?
- Call type: Telemarketer
- AnnoyingThis is NOT verizon! Someone called this morning I got his name and number and said I would call him back. Maybe three hours have gone by he calls again saying he was returning my call, which I did not call him back!?! I called verizon to verify and the person I spoke with said if they send you to a third party verification service it is not from verizon!
- Caller: unknown
- GLPC| 1 replySamantha called stating that she was with Verizon Business Services QA and that an "alert" came up on our account. She has access to know both of the plants numbers. She said that we are paying $x and should only be paying $X in Michigan per phone line. I don't trust it! She asked for the person who makes decisions on the account- not a company or persons name. The number she gave me is 866-938-4725 ext. 4725. I tried calling it back and it was busy. I'm glad there are these types of websites to investigate these fraudlent calls.
- Caller: Verizon Business Services QA
- JoatGLPC replies to GLPCI just called the number again to see if there was answer vs. busy signal. There was!! The recording said, Welcome to the Winback (I think) team." It then described their business being an internet and phone service company. It then went on to ask for the extension that you'd like to reach. TOTAL SCAM! Do not give them information or agree to anything.
- PaulCaller claimed to be from "Verizon" and wanted to offer bundled phone and internet service. Asked for information that they should have already known such as street address. I called Verizon and they said that the call was not from them, but most likely a third party phone service provider. They put a note on my account about the caller and told me to watch my billing statement for any 3rd party charges or changes. I did not agree to anything and got a fax from them about 15 minutes later with a "quote" for service. They claim to be a company called "Winbackteam" and their web site is not even functional. Looks like a scam, so I'll be watching my billing statement for any changes. Just a reminder to everyone not to give out any information to any callers including street address, billing address, fax numbers, etc. Just hang up!!
- Caller: Winbackteam
- Phone Service pain| 1 replyI have recieved many calls from "the winbackteam" also quoting about 1/3 of my verizon bill. Verizon was not aware of the information I provided them and didn't know who they were. Is this a scam or are they selling a discount service?
- Caller: Unknown name
- MIKE R replies to Phone Service painTHEY ARE NOT VERIZON OR ATT. THEY ARE A SCAM. BE CAREFUL. CONTACT THE STATE ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE AND LETS SHUT THESE PEOPLE DOWN...THEY ARE RUDE, THEY LIE, THEY ARE NASTY AND THEY KEEP CALLING.
THE WORST TELEMARKETERS I HAVE EVER SEEN.
THERE NUMBER 866.938.4725 - Safe Keeping Self StorageThe same sales manager calls on a consistent basis. She pitches a spiel about how we need to sign this contract to save our business money. Upon requesting the information, she faxed over a "dummied" looking preliminary pricing estimate. After speaking to her on the phone a second time she told us that if we didn't have the contract in place, our rates would go up. We decided to call Verizon's main contact number directly from our bill and they have no record that our rates will be going up this year nor can they confirm this WinBack team is part of them although they did admit they have independent sales people but when she checked out the numbers that this WinBack sales person gave us, the numbers are not associated with them. We requested from the WinBack Sales manager that she send us in writing a price package guarantee. Again, she faxed over a "dummied" looking price package. We have tried to contact this sales manager at the numbers provided by her. 866-938-4725, ex 7041. We either get a message stating they are out to lunch or we get no answer at all. The Sales manager's name is Archmanie Persaud. Better to be safe than sorry - we're not going to fall for it.
- Caller: WinBack Verizon
- Call type: Telemarketer
- DebiCaller claims to be from Verizon and needs to let accounting know of a rate increase; they claim the rate increase needs to be recorded for verification. If you call the number, you get the Win or Wind Back Team. Not related in any way to your verizon account. If questioned, they don't even know your address or account number. Verizon has that information and they don't call for an increase in rates!!!
- smith replies to IrritatedI don’t know why everybody is so scared to do business with these people. they have called me and told me the same thing and I took a shot and had them lower my bill with the expansion pak program that they are running right now and they did save me money. They work on behalf of VERIZON and the best thing about I get to speak to someone who takes pride in there job not some underpaid verizon employee who just works 9-5!!!!!! If you wanna speak to someone who knows what they are talking about call Dominick @ 866-938-4725 ext 7012
