This number was used as the contact number in a bogus United Airways mailer I received in an envelope with no addressee.
Remember : If you call a try to call a toll free number anonymously it won't work... They capture your phone number.

Continuously call and hang up, and this is the second letter address with United Airways saying I won  a trip retail value up to 1,298 , but no return address onthe envelope

It's a scam so throw out

I received the same letter signed by Judi Craft as Vice President.  No return address or information on the company.  I am throwing it away.

I also got a letter from United Airways signed by a Juli Cae.  The number was 1-866-594-7844.  I called the number and they started asking personal questions like "Was I single or married?".  I told them I didn't need to answer because it had nothing to do with getting the tickets.  I googled the name while talking to the lady and asked her why they say this is a scam.  She just said, "We will give your tickets to someone else and hung up."

Go to USPS.com website, at the bottom click Postal Inspector, click mail fraud and fill in the blanks. By doing this we can help combat mail scams.
I just received the same letter.
signed: Jan Coler V.P. American Airways. letter has no return address, but it is post marked Phoenix AZ 852 and dated March 8 2013.
I will be sending my letter to the Postal inspectors.  They can usually locate the origination of these letters if there are enough mailed from the same area.

Received a letter on March 15 from American Airways signed by Jan Coler, VP to call 866-540-4999 to claim a prizeof airline tickets valued at to $1,350.
SCAM! Did not call. No return Address and I see others have received the same no return address letter as well.
