The caller left a message. It is an administrative office at Kaiser Permanente Northwest (KP) making a legitimate business call to a KP subscriber in response to a letter from the subscriber complaining that, despite several notices of a change of address, KP is still wrongfully addressing postal mail to the old address.

They are lying scammers.  See the Microsoft website about this scam:

    http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/security/online-privacy/avoid-phone-scams.aspx

Microsoft does not call users and does not provide any information to 3rd parties.

I didn't answer but later called the number back and yes it's Kaiser's medicare sales service. wanted to know if I signed up for their service. their policy is to call a total of three times and if no answer a letter will be mailed. was told it's no problem if I don't answer their calls and will receive a letter if I had already signed up for medicare. what a waste of time. you'd think one phone call and/or a mailed letter would be sufficient. :(

This is a legitimate number for Kaiser Permanente Sales for Medicare (at least now, it could have been something else in the past).

They didn't even know how to say my daughter's name and insisted on talking to her on my phone about social security benefits. I said no thank you don't call me and she said well I'll have to talk to her about that. She's a teenager and easily scammed sadly. This has scam wired all over it.

Caller claimed to be from Kaiser and that she wanted to go over changed in my plan.  Asked for my date of birth and zip code.  If she was really from Kaiser she would already have that information.  I asked which Kaiser is she calling from.  She would not say, only saying "the office", very vague answer.  I repeated the question two more times and she kept saying "the office".  My wife yelled at her that if she does not say which Kaiser department she is from we were going to hang up the phone.  Caller ended the call.

They called saying they were from Kaiser Permanente and that they were asking for my son by name to discuss SSI and SSDI benefits. I told him that he is my son. (My son is 18 and has not had a real job yet) What is KP asking about discussing these issues with him? I told them to email me with what they are requesting. If they are KP, they should have that info already. Apparently, I got no email.

Why would a health plan call someone up to discuss SS or SSDI with them?  They have nothing to do with it and SSA would send a letter.

Call claiming to be from Kaiser Permanente.  Claimed they needed to update me on changes to my plan and medicare. Started to ask dob ... When I told him I didn't feel comfortable providing my info to an unknown caller, he said he understood and said I could call Kaiser direct for the info, and he provided me with a number.  The number was Kaiser but they knew of no changes I needed to be updated on.
