    It is a come on to get you into a high pressure sales presentation for a travel club of some sort.  The "travel vouchers" you receive afterwards for your "free" airline tickets have fees and serious restrictions on when and with whom they can be used. They make you think they are associated with American Airlines but note that it states American Airways.  Other versions use United Airways and US Airlines, always similar names to the actual airlines designed to fool people.

    I received the same letter in the mail today and the envelope was handwritten. It went to the shredder directly.
