    We received the same call.  I've called Scotiabank and they've confirmed that they have indeed lost CD's with private customer information.  They said they've reported this to the Federal Privacy Commissioner.  This phone number is for (from) the company that Scotiabank has contracted to offer identity theft monitoring services to their customers that are victim to this.  Call Scotiabank!
