- YodaI received a total of 8 calls today from this number. I know it's Honda Financial because they do this all of the time even when I'm not late on my bill.
I've been late maybe 2 times in two years, but never have I NOT paid my bill. It is harassment, whether it is legally classified as such or not.
In any event, they are usually pretty nice if you pick up. I however do not care how nice they are. Computer system or not that is dialing my number, the person on the other end is still the only human personification of the computer and company that is constantly harassing me.
So today, after receiving my 8th call from them, I picked up. I knew they wanted a payment, check number, when it was sent, etc. So I gave that to them. I followed with how I am sick and tired of the nonstop harassing phone calls even when they are not warranted.
The employee whom I'm not directly mad at it took it the wrong way, because after all they work at a collection company so I doubt their intelligence/emotional level is all that high, and alas they got defensive and eventually hung up on me after I explained what they are doing is harassment and is unacceptable.
So in closing, either pick up and cooperate with them or stand up for yourself because these people suck!- Caller: Honda Financial Services

- Lou replies to HONDA REP.| 1 replyI've been getting calls from Honda financial for at least 1 1/2 years, because I had an employee who I worked with give my number as his own, now that he is late or not paying (don't really know) they will not leave me alone? I have told Honda financial this a couple of times but now I just don't answer when they call.. How do I get them to stop calling me?
- AnonymousIn 12 months, I have never been late on a payment and usually I'm 2 weeks early on my payments. This month, I missed a payment and was late 14 days. Today was my first day to receive a call from this number, but was in a meeting all day long. So, when I got out of my meeting at 3 pm, I looked down at my missed calls and had 22 missed calls from Honda. From 2 pm to 3 pm, they had called my phone every 2-8 minutes. I filed a complaint with FTC b/c this is clearly harrassment. You should do the same if you feel that you've been harrassed. https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/

- Godd-zzeraI think they call for the sake of calling. I was late on a payment and they keep calling me every month when I pay on time. They are a big pain in the butt.
No sushi for you! - PJI've had some unexpected expenses lately, and they have caused me to be late with my bills. This month, I paid 1/2 of the car payment from one paycheck, and hopefully, I will pay the rest when I get paid again (on the 24th). Anyhow, my payment is due on the 7th, and I started getting calls on the 17th (a mere ten days)...I saw the 866-950-7780 number called my phone 7 times. Today, I was called 5 times, and the 4th and 5th times weren't even a whole hour apart. I mean really, isn't that harassment? When I finally decided to answer, I mentioned to the Honda representative that I was being called a lot. She explained that the calls will occur until someone answers and makes a payment arrangement. I can understand if I were almost 60 days late, but 10 days? I don't get frequent calls like that from other creditors. Okay, so I've vented...just wanted it to be known...maybe this message will get back to Honda to change its tactics.

- RN in NC replies to LouYou can contact the BBB within the state that the company has as their primary base of operations, I have done this and it does stop the calls. Also, it appears that the people that have identified themsleves as Honda employees do not know very much about computer etiquette-as all caps means one is shouting. I am getting 12-15 calls per day from Americredit even after the payment has cleared my bank, BBB is researching this.
- pissed replies to deleted postthanks for giving me a reason to not purchase anything from Honda.....
- Honda Customer replies to deleted postThe number is from Honda Financial. And they will call until you answer. If you answer just once a day, the system will not recall you. To the commenter below, the "Honda Employee": If you are indeed an employee of Honda Financial services, I invite you to leave your name so that you can properly represent yourself. Calling consumers "broke losers" really shows how unprofessional the customer service reps and collection officers with Honda financial are. By the way, you spelled losers wrong. And a word of advice, act respectful to the customers and maybe you can work something out. In these times of hardship, calling customers broke losers won't accomplish anything but to show how lame you really are. What goes around comes around.
- Honda Customer replies to HONDA REP.I think you are the same Honda employee who called the customer a "broke loser". Notice your ALL CAPS and your misspelling.

- Stop Calling Me| 1 replyI just got off the phone with Shelton and he said that he could not give me a physical address to send a cease and desist letter to them to stop calling me every hour on the hour. It does not make any sense. I dont own a Honda and I am really tired of them calling me. He gave me no supervisor or manager to talk to. I will say that he did a very poor job of customer service.

But - ITS JUST PLAIN LAZY of you not to look it up on the internet yourself. - blah replies to deleted post| 3 repliesI paid my account on time for sevral years. I lost my job last year and my partner also lost his job last year. We have since found new jobs, but we are making about $40,000 a year less combined. Do you know what its like to try to find an extra $3000 per month you used to have and it was all of a sudden taken away?
What are you going to do when they outsource your job? It will happen if not today or tomorrow, but some time.
I have never wanted to be late nor have I ever wanted to mess up my credit, but in this economy what else can you do? - il-honda-civic-08-leaserI have received about 2 calls in more than 6 months. My second call was just a minute ago. Since I did not have the number in my blackberry addressbook, I searched the caller ID in Google as I always do, to see who is calling. If it is collection or spam calling, I do not answer or call back.
In any case, yesterday I made my online payment with my bank which takes a few days to process. They will get their payment. We are basing our bills on cash flow and payroll schedules so that we do not pay all our bills and have no money left over for 4 weeks.
I should probably get in the habit of being at least 1/2 payment ahead each month- then I will never have to worry. This is also how I handle rent.
Telemarketers and Collection Agents are the worst kind of jobs out there- but they are hiring in the down economy because fewer and fewer people are on schedule with their payments. Whatever you do, do not use auto-pay, direct debit systems. That will wreck your cash flow and cause overdrafts.
Whenever I have had to talk with a Honda Financial rep (once) I told him I made the payment online (I did) and that the bank would process it on (whatever day the e-payment system gave). Since I also had a tracking number, I was able to provide that as well, to show validity to my statement.
Now I need to pay for my car insurance... (ha ha)
Ps. I agree- never lease. I leased a car in Ohio (the 2006 model) and hit the end of my mileage with a year to go on the lease. Then I moved to IL (never move to IL for ANY reason) - they wanted full tax on the car even though I did not own it! So I turned it in- was forced to pay a $75 premium on top of the lease payment for the extra months! I could be driving a lexus but instead I get a Honda Civic.
Next time, save the $7000 cash, go buy a Honda from an old grandma with 40k miles and keep up its maintenance. It will serve you well- and low insurance (you will only need to carry liability) rates to boot.- Caller: Honda Financial
