Who is this company advertizing pre-foreclosure property and requesting $199.00 for a credit check.. ??

They are advertising "pre-foreclosure" houses that you dont need to make a down payment for and no credit check. Just take over the payments and prevent it from going into foreclosure. Dont know anything about them but sounds a lil fishy.

This number was also found on Craigslist in Champaign, IL

Advertising pre-foreclosure's on Craigslist in Greenville,SC also listing them as apartments. This sounds like a major scam. Don't give them any info...

Advertising on Louisville Craigslist, too.  I called, and was told they have about 60 homes in the Louisville area, asked for my email address to send me a username and password to their search site.  They said they can transfer ownership of a house I select into my name within 24-48 hours with no credit check or downpayment.  Clearly a scam.  At that point, I asked if I'd be able to search the homes available, see details, pictures, etc, without giving them anything except my email address.  That's when he told me there's a $200 fee to use their search site, refundable if I end up not using them.  Told him not interested, he was polite and said thanks for calling.  There's no way this is legit.

I called them from an ad on Craigslist in Lakeland Fl. I was told that for a 1.00 fee to my credit card I could search their database of pre-foreclosure homes. I declined.

they are also advertising on craiglist here in gainesville, FL husband called and they said if we paid them 200.00 for a credit check we would get listings! obviously we declined, this is a scam!!!

Craigslist in Madison, WI too. They said they have properties all over. Has anyone actually paid? It seems like a scam, but it could be real? It would be awsome if it was!

Also, they told me the $199 was to do a title search on the property once I found one I wanted. But I had to pay now to get my user name and registration. Did anyone ask the name of the company?

This place is a total scam. DO NOT.. DO NOT... DO NOT.... GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY. Not only will they take your money and not give you anything, but they will attempt to take more and drain your account. I talked to someone who had done it, paid the $199 and got nothing except for an overdraft following the first withdrawl. Do not let these scammers get your cash. Try out lease option through an ad on craigslist if you are short on cash and half bad credit. It is a good way to get started if you are trying to rebuild. It worked for me. They are also advertising on craigslist Beaumont, Texas. I called the number and they never say the name of the company. They also keep you on hold forever before anyone picks up.

I love this website -- I'm looking through Craigslist in Virginia Beach/Hampton Roads and most of the ads show this number -- which is really annoying!  Anyway -- thanks for the info!!!

They are advertising in Philly too. I called and it sounded to good to be true. I figured I should research the company before giving out my personal information. Then I found boat loads of information that confirmed by suspicions...Thanks!

I called a number on Craigslist about rent to own houses, and I had a feeling that there was more to it. Well I called I wanted the company name which is Anchor House Financial I asked what I needed to do and the guy abruptly told me to hang on for a second. Almost a min later I hung up. Looked though reviews and find it to be more of a scam than anything.
