Said it was from our bank, blocked card alert, call this number

I got a text, told me I had a card that was blocked from Central Bank. I don't even use them or even have a card from my own bank at all. I heard of this from my band director, said its a very long distance call and the phone company won't do a thing if you call them and get a huge bill.

omg, i am so glad i found this site.  i bank with central and freaked out and almost called the number.  my text said i had a blocked card also.

Received text message from this number about a blocked card alert. Through my job, I am already aware that this is a scam from people in Jamaica. They make calls to residences also and make threats to attempt to force people to send them money. A total SCAM.

Called Central bank using the number on back of card and they said it was a scam to NOT call that number or text back!!!!

My whole family got one. When I called the number it asked for my card number. I just hung up. This has to be a told scam.

i got a call from this number with the blocked card stuff... dont even use central bank.... i think its a scam not wasting my time calling them

Me and my boyfriend got the text at the exact same time, it has to be a scam. 8669618855@centralbank.net Blocked card alert, blah blah, i don't use central bank. This is just a scam i assume, and i hope they stop.

I ,as well as my mom, dad, and grandma, got a text message that said:
8669618855@centralbank.net()Central Bank(Card Blocked) Alert. For more information please call 1-866-961-8855.  Thank you.  
BUT The number it came from is 36245 which is an email gateway through At&t.  It's a complete scam.  People please do not call the number and put your card # in the phone.

Received a text message from 8669618855 and also 8669669238
within seconds of one other earlier this evening...saying
the same thing: Central Bank (Card Blocked) Alert...and to
call them for more info.

DO NOT CALL THESE NUMBERS AND GIVE THEM INFO.  This sounds like a scam with potentially serious consequences.

got a text message from this number saying "centralbank.net  central bank card blocked alert  for more info please call 1-866-961-8855 ty"
for 1 i don't deal with a central bank... also i just heard this prank was happening on bob and tom on the radio...

I don't use Central Bank and figured it was a scam.  I didn't call the number.  Besides, it didn't make sense to me that they would send me a text message.  If there was really a problem with my card they would probably call.
