- Jim| 1 replyOne day this guy calls me and says his name is "Douglas Lee". He tells me I won 555,000 dollars randomly. I couldn't believe it so I asked him questions and he sounded very believable. He told me to just send 750.00 dollars as a insurance deposit. I did but after a few hours I called him and he said to send 2500.00 because the bank wouldn't release the money. At first I didn't believe him and we finally settled on 350.00 and promised me that after I sent that I would get the money. After I sent it he said that the bank closed at 4:00 pm. He told me to wait till 9 am the next morning I believed him again. The next morning I called him and he said that the IRS took control of the money and needed 8,000.00 dollars from me. That is when I finally stopped and said no to him and he kept trying to convince by saying that his wife was in jail and he was about to lose his job. DON'T BELIEVE A WORD OF IT! The three guys that were in on this were Oshane Haye,"Douglas Lee"and some guy who called himself "Mario" and tried to say he was a FBI agent. DO NOT BELIEVE THESE PEOPLE FOR ONE MINUTE BECAUSE THEY WILL TRY TO TRICK YOU OUT OF YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY!

Another phone scam involves calls from “Prize Distribution Centers” that claim that you are the winner in sweepstakes or a lottery. Of course, you are not the only “winner” in the lottery and tens of thousands of people received the same call. The goal of the scheme is to entice you to make a relatively small payment (for example, shipping and handling fee, a sales tax) promising that a much bigger prize will be sent your way. Once the payment is sent, you will most likely not hear from the company again, and a promised “Lincoln Navigator” will not find its way to your driveway. - JimAlso I did research it hear before I made my 750.00 payment and called the guy but he just talked his way out of it.
