A male caller w/Jamaican accent asked for me by name & claimed that I had won multi-millions and a new luxury car.  He wanted me to Western Union hundreds in U.S. Currency as a processing fee, I think.  When I told him to take a hike, he called back from a different number.  He now calls weekly from different numbers attempting the same thing.  Unfortunately, my home phone service can't block international numbers.

Please, do not send these criminals money and recognize it for what it is...a scam.  Also, DO NOT call these numbers!  You will likely incur outrageous international rate charges.

I just received a similar call.  The caller ID showed : 876-465-9752.  I believe that is an international number.
A man with a heavy "island" accent called to say that I had won $2.5 million dollars, a new car, and a year's worth of free gas.  It sounded like he was calling from a cell phone because of the background noise.  I knew right away it was a scam, but kept him on the phone for a few minutes to try to get more info.
He said that my name had been submitted to Gold Rush Casino in "Anderson" Nevada (when it's actually in Henderson, NV).  He said that they had gotten my information from me filling out a "coupon" to win a trip.  When I told him that I didn't remember filling out such a coupon, he then continued by saying that it may have been my husband.  I said that might be possible, and he then continued and said that they may have also gotten my name from me paying my utility bill or using my credit card when shopping.  
When I started to ask questions, and say that it didn't sound real, he started to get rude and pushy!  He also had an old address of mine, which freaked me out, because it's actually still my parent's address.
I finally told him that I had googled the Gold Rush Casino and that a bunch of scam reports came up.  I told him I wasn't interested and hung up.
Watch out!  And be sure to tell your friends and family, especially the elderly.

I just received a call from 876-465-9752.  It was on my answering machine to call them back.  They must be reading posts about themselves because the English has gotten very good.  I don't usually enter any sweepstakes so I knew it was a scam.  Also it was the President of the company calling not just a regular employee!  Just wanted to post this info.  Today is 6/19/2012.
