Just got a call from this number on my cell phone at lunch time, which is not a number known by anyone but family and a few businesses. It said it was from Jamaica so I did not answer it. 7/8/15

I have been getting calls daily from this number and from 876-871-6109, caller ID says "Cell Phone JM" .  They ask for Patricia (no one here named Patricia) and then claim they are from Unclaimed checks, and want to send me a check ... I have told them not to call me again, but they keep on calling.  Once one of them, when I said there's no Patricia here, tried to get to me, saying he could help me, too.

I regret answering this number before checking the area code. I was apparently a big winner of the Lotto! Lucky me! Unfortunately, it took me far than it should have to find out that this was a scam. Asked to wire money to them. Major scam alert. I am now on the do not call registry, hopefully that helps stop these types of calls.
