Somebody from American Cash Rewards calling to congratulate me.  This appears to be a well known scam using a new phone number.

i'm getting calls from strange number and i think it is a scam

Got a call from this person, they introduced themself as David from the publishers clearing house. Politely asked to be put on the do not call list, he told me to go f*ck myself...? Pretty flabbergasted haha.

Male with accent is calling elderly people claiming they are with Publishers Clearing House and tell the victims they have won.  They want the victims to send them money in order to receive their prize.  SCAM

A color named Michael Bill gates supposedly from publishers clearing House calling to tell me I've won $3.5 million or $5000 a week for life plus a beautiful white Mercedes Benz. His voice is odd and sounds as if it has been altered by a machine. He gives me numerous numbers to write down… A check number, a clearinghouse number, a badge number, a winner number, my badge number and package number. Called me sweetheart and ask me to repeat all the numbers back to him. He then asks for personal information to make sure he has it right, at which point I hang up. Would not have answered the call had I seen it was from Jamaica.
