This number called saying they were from the Publishers Clearing House Company. Now, I have never had anything to do with that company, but they said I won a sweepstakes. The man asked how I felt about winning such a big prize and I told straight up that I was suspicious. He keeps going, and says i only need to pay 1% to get the prize money tax free. However his calculation for the 1% was wrong compared to the prize he was offering. I gave him the benefit of the doubt, because I still believe good things can happen, and told him I needed to talk to some people about it. He immediately started trying to convince me not to tell anyone, and I told him again that he was just making me more suspicious. He keeps at it, until finally I tell him I have to go to work, have a nice day. So, after some research, I find that Publishers Clearing House never notifies by phone, but they do have issues with people calling claiming to be them to scam money out of people.

I received the same phone call from a man named David Sawyer claiming he is from PCH. I was very sceptical. He sounded legit and sincere. He sent me a letter of confirmation and pictures showing he is not a phony.  When I received email there were many mispelled words and typos. RED Flag!!! So still wanting to believe I really won. I listened to what he had to say. He wanted me to pay a registration fee of $250. I asked him if there was someone else in his firm I could speak with...he put me on hold. After a few seconds of waiting a lady with a very high pitched voice came on the phone. It sounded like a man pretending to be a woman with the same accent as David Sawyer. So I asked to speak to someone else. Another man with a very low sounding voice, but with the same accent as David Sawyer. I knew it was too good to be true. To play with ones emotions.

This man David Sawyer claiming he is from Publisher Clearing House is saying I won $250,000, but I have to pay a small fee to receive it. I want people to be aware this could be a scam trying to steal their hard earned money.

Not "could be" but "definitely" a scam. PCH doesn't call from Jamaica and they don't require you to pay to receive your winnings.

It is a scammer from Jamaica. Why would they even care about the Do Not Call list?
