Cell phone rang and showed caller's number that was not expected and out of area code.  Did not answer and let caller hang up.

I reviewed the number and it noted it was a Michael  Freeman at Publishing Clearing House. he noted I won 1.5 million and everything seemed OK until he noted that there is a $2,500.50 refundable fee. Plus, there's a difference. PCH is Publishers Clearing House. So once I reviewed the name again, I hung up.

Things to believe:

• There ain't no such thing as a free lunch.
• If it sounds (or looks) too good to be true, it probably is.
• You have not won big bucks from a benign benefactor, a pot of pesos from PCH, dinero from a doctor, or a grant from a gracious government    <<<<<<<<<<<<
• The tooth fairy really does not exist
• Everything you read on the internet is not necessarily true.
• It is illegal to ask for money for a loan or prize, before awarding the loan or prize!
• "Free Trips" are loaded with mandatory & costly extras, and you usually must give them your card number after listening to a loooong spiel at a hotel.
• Microsoft or one of their agents did NOT cold call you to fix your computer.
• The moon is not made of green cheese.
• The IRS will snailmail you, rather than phone you, if there is a problem.
• Jackalope milk is not an aphrodisiac.
• If you "green dot", MoneyGram or Western Union money to a scammer, the money is gone.
• You should beware of Greeks bearing gifts, specially if the gift is a wooden horse with termites.
• 876 is NOT your lucky number, and it will cost you money to call that area code!

I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL SAYING THEY WERE P.C.H.   PUBLISHER CLEARING HOUSE AND THAT I WON 3.5 MILLION DOLLARS IN CASH AND A NEW MERCEDY BENS AND THE NAME HE USED WAS  MR. JAMES PETERSON  AND HAD ANOTHER NUMBER 1-876-582-0295   FOR A DAVID COOPER

AND ASKED ME TO RUN UP TO WALMART AND SEND A MONEY GRAM FOR 195.00 TO A SALLY BURGESS    IN LAKE CITY CAROLINA

I CONTACTED THE P.C.H. SCAM HOT LINE AND THEY TOLD ME THEY DO NOT ASK FOR ANY MONEY WHEN YOU WIN MONEY  AND THEY ARE A BIG SCAM

I got the same call but hung up before he tried anything

According to my phone, it was from Jamaica.  I don't answer any calls from there.  didn't leave a voice message.

"876"   jamaica   continuing  fraud  scam  calls !

Caller did not leave message...believe it was a scammer call...cannot block phone from receiving this call .....grrrrrrr
...suggest any other person receiving a call from this number....do not answer phone call...hang up immediately

A message was left.  Man identified himself as Mr. ANDY WELSH from the 411 lottery at OLG.  Said I won third prize in a lottery- $850k and $200k in jewellery.  Wished  me an extraordinary day.  Not very original.

This Michael Freeman claims he's from pch and that I need to go to DG to get a $205.00 gift card for the registration. And that some attorney lady by the name of Dorthy Willison will be shaking my hand at the delivery of my prize. Hi call back number 509-553-8490. His ID number  065409 he seems really antsy about the registration so I had to do my own research to see if what he is claiming to be is real. He has my local area info which I find troubling.

i was told i has won 7,000 for a lifetime then am asked to get a vanilla gift card for 150.00
